Welppp. That was a roller coaster of emotion.
As the first panel appeared, I thought it would be a cute lil manga about a boy falling in love—but then boom. A sudden shift, that was a turn I never expected, and from that moment on ohhh, I was completely hooked.
The story then kept pulling me in, with layers of pain, love, and tragedy, each page more gripping than the last. It was the kind of narrative that seeps into your bones, making you feel everything as if you were living it yourself. Evey panel, every words, and per chapter, it make my heart sink. It was beautiful, in the most heartbreaking way. And as I read, I couldn't help but wonder—would I ever be able to create something like this? A masterpiece so powerful, so consuming, that it changes the way someone sees the world, even just for a moment?
I love to write—it's my hobby, my escape. But when I come across stories like this, ones that are so well-written, sooo deeply moving, my entire perspective shifts. Not physically, but emotionally. My life is still what it was—drained, tired, procrastinating... a sinner. And yet, for a brief moment, I forget all of that. I lose myself in the art, in the emotions, in the words that someone else has poured their soul into.
I have become attached once again, bound to another piece of art that will linger in my mind for days, maybe even weeks, bit ohhh it would burn if it's forever, Same woth the manhua Ogus’s Law. I’ve found yet another story that will haunt me in the best way possible. And for that, I am deeply grateful to the authors and artists who brought it to life. Their work is not just ink on paper—it’s an experience, a memory, a feeling that will stay with me long after the last page is turned.

The emperor hasn’t been shown fully even in flashbacks from the empress, but for all intents and purposes it seems the women run everything…not mad at all. I’d like to have seen the emperor more though, the empress described him as shy, and very slow to romance even slower to sex. Took them forever to hold hands, then to just kiss. Think he looks like an older version of the crown prince, long black hair (shown in flashback) and light grey eyes.

one way to see it is the emperor trust the empress enough to give her full authority.
and btw it's also an event to choose a princess for the prince. there are many unmarried young noble ladies so no random men should come close at that time, lol it would be another scandal if there is a rumor of the emperor getting close to one of his son's wife candidate.
that's why in the end of the recent chapter, the maid questioned the empress dowager "bring soldier to inner palace?" because it's usually forbidden.
That makes sense, and it’s been clear that the selection of the crown princess is the empress’s domain. Plus, I like you noting how much the emperor trusts his wife. Maybe some cutscenes of what the emperor is doing during all of this or how he is with his sons and wife. I mean the confusion of his younger son having a deadly disease instead asthma seemed to include him as a father and emperor. And maybe since it’s been decided who the crown princess will be maybe he arranges to meet his daughter in law without anyone but immediate family knowing. It’s just as cute as the princes are and as capable their mom is I’d like to see any interactions with the emperor.
