ch 32 was soooo out of character, mr gangster is so respectful and patient and kind for the entire story apart from that one chapter, like he would never do that given his personality smh, talk abt mischaracterising !

why would they make woori so fun and likable and make the actual love interest such a twat he’s so snobby, self centred, condescending and down right annoying, meanwhile woori and danwoo give such couple vibes already ……. the love interest is so un-charming and he looks basic af too with that fake smile. you can just tell he uses everyone around him for his own entertainment, typical snobby kid born into a rich family ewwwww. gives me the ick fr.

the blonde guy is so ridiculously annoying idk what bada sees in him he has no concept of personal space or boundaries and is sooooo fake and stuck up, how is this guy meant to be charming?? eunha has a nicer design and is actually likable in comparison, sad that he’s not endgame and barely gets any attention rip

i’m sooooo curious as to what this author was thinking when they wrote this story genuinely so insane 98% of the characters are fcking selfish, crazy and DUMBBBBB omg. almost everyone (a parent from jaerim, dong kyung and joo hee pissed me off honestly but there’s a special place in hell for dunno sunbae. the way he is so entitled and MEANS for no reason and is so confident in leading yuri down a path of toxicity and then acting like he was doing the best for him & actively discouraging jaerim and dong kyung from interacting with yuri and making them seem like perpetrators when they are VICTIMS LIKE STFUUUUUUU IM SO MAD and yuri using his trauma as a justification for acting rancid towards a bunch of kids who have NOTHING to do with the death of his parents added onto the fact that he decided to target all his hate on the kid who was living through poverty, abusive family, physical and verbal abuse at school whilst he was able to float through his endless amounts of privelages is crazy. i felt so bad for dong kyung i could’ve cried he genuinely did nothing wrong and yet was made to feel like a monster, any sane person would’ve lost their minds after that but the poor boy held on and stayed kind throughout the entire time he was getting literally tortured overall though im so curious as to whether the author truly sees all these relationships in a positive light because each and every one of these relationships were unhealthy as fuck, it was so jarring to see them be portrayed in a “and they lived happily ever after lalalalaa” way after showing just how deeply flawed they are with eachother and emphasising the fact that things will never change i kinda feel like the author couldn’t take accountability for how serious and deep these issues got and just went for a typical rom com ending the first 50 chapters were rly good though :(

also not a fan of jin hyuk’s friends, how are they gonna be besties with him for over a decade but still know absolutely nothing about their bro. he’s literally been “dating” heechan since highschool how tf are they still so clueless. idk they feel highkey self centred. not many kind characters surrounding the main characters in this story :(

i really hope korea legalises marriage regardless of gender :( so many people just hoping to express their love in a comfortable manner, such a small and easy joy being denied to so many people. quite depressing to think how homophobic certain countries like korea still are - i hope that jinhyuk and heechan are one day able to freely express and talk about their love. they’ve both overcame so much pain from such a young age, i hope they get to comfortably and peacefully live the rest of their lives with eachother, madly in love forever and ever

i was expecting dohyun to be this terrible person from the way everyone was talking abt him but turns out he’s just a nice guy who feels guilty abt something he has no control over

ayano and hazuki are clearly in a relationship, it’s so cute seeing hazuki get all possessive

sunwoo is literally soooo fun i love seeing the daily life of an academically smart dumbass, also the memes and expressions are so funny everyone in this story is clueless to some extent

tbh i think the writing for seonwoo is Really good interesting characters don’t always have to be morally perfect and all of seonwoo’s actions just make too much sense considering how he was raised. all the love he has ever known is fake and this made him compulsively “check” if people will truly love him even if he hurts them and is the worst person - he essentially believes he is incapable of love and won’t stop until he proves to himself that the person who claims to love him is actually lying because it’s better to be thrown away early before he gets in too deep? and being in his position, it’s true that most of the people around him are there for superficial reasons, he was casted out by his own family and is regularly exposed to the manipulation and psychological torture of his younger brother.. even now he learns that the only person he thought he could call his family was indeed lying to him and actually wants to kill him now that he’s of no use… it makes complete and utter sense that he’s distrustful and him hurting other people in the process also makes sense because other people have always hurted him for no reason? you apply what you learn from experience yknow. it doesn’t make sense to expect someone who grew in a abusive environment to continue to be kind to others and not let their trauma affect them. like yes his actions are terrible obviously but they definately make sense and i think it’s so ridiculous to be like “eh he had a sad past but he shouldn’t hurt others” because it’s so idealistic and sadly many people do not have the comfort and privilege to look easily past their trauma and not let it affect them seonwoo’s victims are allowed to hate him but as readers, i think we of all people should acknowledge the very good example of how trauma is not always a convenient mental illness but can also affect others lives too - and ultimately seonwoo is the one who loses the chance of receiving a decent chance of living a fulfilling life at all. it’s just so unfair to be destined from your birth to live a life without the warmth of unconditional love and belonging.
