Why’s everyone suddenly dogging on the plot? The writing was never a masterclass piece of beautiful poetry so what was ppl expecting. It’s been filled with cliches from the start and most ppl including me were eating it up. It’s also not “the worst backstory ever”. The characters actions makes sense according to their personality, like yea a rational adult wouldn’t be blaming a little kid for everything that happened, but the dad is not a rational adult yall and ppl like him do exist irl
I wish people stopped blaming the author for favouritism. Yes there are more scenes with zhengjia, you can compare about all the things zhengjia did and zhengyan didn’t do with mc but the twins are not the same person. Zhengjia is not ashamed to beg for more and him being pushy is showed with the clinginess towards mc while zhengyan who is more subdued in nature, who saw his brother cling to mc since young, would not cling to mc unless drunk or in heat.
MC being who he is, also only acts when things benefit him, so anything done with zhengjia and not zhengyan is because zhengjia pushed while zhengyan holds back. Like the most recent chap even used the level of physical touch to slowly figure out the nature of his powers. We’re still in the early parts of the story nowhere near the climax, why can’t we just be patient?
Yeah and I feel the scenes with zheng yan. When we do get them. Are def worth the wait.
Zheng Yan, I feel, tends to be in denial and full of doubt. Also hiding a lot of himself. while zheng Jia is the most open person in the comic.
She did a nice job separating their personalities and scenes. I think so anyways.
Yea, definitely worth the wait when we get zhengyan scenes. It’s like watching a stoic stone boy melt cutely when mc and him get together. And the level of quality that went to drawing each character, it’s hard to point fingers at author for favouritism. That’s why I don’t get people who overanalyse and count each and every little interaction, especially when it comes to smut lol. It’s pretty clear these twins are polar opposites of each other, so surely there will be a big difference in the way they act with mc.
An unpopular opinion since peace is love but honestly, felt that this outcome was abit underwhelming. I do like this conclusion between the brothers and I’m not saying I crave for endless drama, it’s just the fact that author wanted to go with an incestuous relative who had an intense longing for mc, now decided he didn’t want to be greedy anymore. I know he had plenty of time to think about it and it does justify his chill attitude all this time but now he just seems like a pitiful ‘second lead’ brother who may never appear again despite his crucial role in their past lives.
I think it might be us looking at it too much as an incestuous thing, cause the only true fact we really know about him was that he was obsessed with Taehyuk and longed for his companionship. But he did see him properly as like a little brother, especially considering his messy family environment (with his father being corrupt and him being a nation's heir in a historical period). He was definitely severely emotionally neglected and his only healthy bond was with Taehyuk so he hung on to that so badly.
And people who grew up like that would of course end up as an adult who doesn't know how (or even want) to build relationships with others. He got married but never did anything with his wife. He also never really tried anything with Taehyuk despite many times where he could. A grown man with a healthy body yet nothing...? He probably doesn't have the capacity to feel anything sexual cause his mind is too busy longing for emotional fulfillment. He sincerely loved Taehyuk but it was a fked up kind of love where he seeked the love he should have gotten from family, friends, etc.
That's why he was able to realise his wrongs so quickly and break down and take his own life. Then he was able to repent properly. And when given the chance to be in a healthy relationship as a real family, he did it and was able to fully let go of his obsession and let Taehyuk be his own person.
I definitely wish his development was fleshed out more but I really like it and I think it was pretty good, but that's just how I see it. From what I see from this author, they love writing CP that is crazy in love with each other so yeah they might also just not be really good at writing 2nd MLs but it honestly works if you just don't see it that way hahaha
Thanks for your input, completely agree that he was more seeking the love that he never experienced even if it’s in a non-sexual/romantic way. I do wish we could have gotten more development rather than just a short conversation and a quick flashback when author built such a complex character, where everyone knows he was the villain yet not all can hate him, only to have him appear once or twice in the modern era. At the end of the day, I guess the focus is on our lovebird MCs hahaha

Tbh what’s with all the switch expectations cus the flashbacks already shows kihoon still as the bottom from the beginning. Idk abt all of u but I love seeing a strong handsome man pin down a beautiful shy man and still take that dick yk
