Does anyone have the link to the novel? T_T
Here you go;)

I swear to God if Dan hears all this and then is like "poor JK, I should understand where he is coming from etc" and starts feeling bad for JK, I am going to lose my mind. JK came from the same background. At the very least I would expect him to not be a piece of shit when it came to how Dan lived. If Dan forgives him just for this I am actually gonna drop this.
Do yall really think her work would be as popular without illegal readers and posters? It's free advertising. And it’s the same thing for a lot of other artists out there too. There is no reason to call anyone names on here or send people threats, like are yall right in the head? Honestly.
"It's free advertising" are you fucking dumb??? Advertising how to read her works illegally benefits her how exactly?? Like just admit you don't want to pay people for the content you consume and go, don't try and justify why you simply MUST goon for free. This is how I know most of you are jobless children (in which case your parents have failed you, you shouldn't even be reading 18+ works anyway), you would not be saying this shit otherwise
I won't lose sleep over someone online I don't know telling me to disappear, dude. Sorry you take everything personally but there is no reason for me to give weight to the words of someone I don't know. Also saying she's valid for the way she reacted is not praise, it's called common sense. Hopefully you will acquire some as you get older, it might not be too late
It IS free advertising. More people are inclined to buy the official stuff like the physical manhwa or whatever else she might put out merch wise if they have access to the reading material first because no adult with bills to pay is going to prioritise a manhwa. More readers = more likely to have people buy her stuff. And once again, are you right in the head? Calling people names and just assuming you know it all? There are plenty instances where people have read something illegally or have borrowed reading material from friends and then have gone ahead and bought a copy for themselves. I was 100% ready to buy the physical manhwa, for example. Now I am not longer going to.
"Well I WAS, but now I'm not going to!" is such a hilarious cope. You are acting like it's suuuper expensive to buy chapters when there are ways to earn coins to read chapters. You don't want to put in any effort. No one has to "prioritize" anything. Spreading knowledge of illegal sites is not helping the author, full stop. You are convincing yourself of this so you can feel better about impacting the author's ability to make a living.
I'm laughing at the people acting like they have any right to be upset that the author called them out for flaunting their illegal site online. That shit's hilarious. It used to be that people knew when to keep their mouths shut when pirating, but any thing for attention and clout I guess. I'm not a hypocrite because I know better and are clowning on people who apparently do not.
Think whatever you want. I personally don't care that she has a problem with it. I care about the way she worded things. When you're someone with a big following, you need to be careful about the way you act online. Especially in SK where bullying is so bad and where suicide rates because of bullying are also disgustingly high. Get off your pedestal, you're also on this site.
It's literally been researched, especially in the video game industry that piracy CAN equal sales. Also, let's say no one pirates it. But the people that would have pirated it, also don't buy the chapters. She would be making the same amount of sales regardless. If you're a collector like me, you read/watch something first and then buy the whole series. I've done that with audible books, with MXTX books and merch, with manga and anime. People are more likely to buy something they can own. Not something that they can't even save for later to read offline, for example.
Yeah i do the same but webtoons are rarely published in physical form and they don’t earn as much as they would online. Let her choose herself if she would like sell more by people stealing her work or not. I’m reading here myself but i bet that no one would be happy to see work that you spent tons of hours just stolen and then people like you saying that we should be happy about it. My friend has comic and use patreon to publish it and told me that for sure she doesn’t want anyone to publish it anywhere even if it became popular this way
How about the works that got cancelled because of low engagement in official sites? At least they got free advertisement, right? Piracy isn’t going to stop, but holy shit.. saying that it’s going to help them is just insane.
If your boss doesn’t pay you right.. saying this is experience… working hard will give you skills anyway… your logic like those big companies who exploit workers because one day the years of slaving will be glowing on their resumes. This will help you! So suck it up and shut up. Do you hear yourself?
Euja got LUCKY this didn’t kill their project, to get a deal with sevenseas… not everyone did… we’ve seen those who got cancelled.. people ranted about it…
You should look into it. There's actual studies when it comes to stuff like piracy, in video games specifically, that show piracy can bring sales. Also when my boss stopped paying me and a bunch of others because he was a piece of shit? We left. Pure and simple. But she has the opportunity to get physical sales from both legal and illegal readers.
It’s easier said than done. Not everyone can simply leave depending on the contract… I know a bunch of artist who couldn’t apply in the same industry because of their contracts.
As for manhwa artist we don’t know the story rights. How much do you pay a company for breaking contract.. you make it sound simple. Kpop stars burnout overworking because of how crappy the work environment is… why don’t they leave? They are all expandable.. for every cancelled artist is a new sucker willing to work in the system. Hoping to get their art and story out there… We heard how they treated the Roxana artist… you really think it’s easy?
If Piracy does help why are there artist who are being cancelled? Euja is just lucky, but not everyone and that’s the point. We can check studies, but we should acknowledge that piracy also killed a lot of things… because it is still loss revenue. It’s not your money… so it’s understandable that you don’t see the damage.. to you it’s free advertising.
Piracy won’t go away, but we could at least acknowledge why it’s hurting creators. Instead of fighting that this actually helps them… because this only helps us.. but it’s easier to sleep at night when we tell ourselves it’s exposure got a title a good deal with any publisher. Danmei community the illegal translations showed that there is market for BL, but the danmei writers have other sources of income… but the korean artist this might be their only source of income. It’s not an excuse to make death threats… but us expecting grace from someone we stole from that’s just audacious too

I need to know if uke actually gets to be happy in this or nah
No he does not
with the way things are going. There is no possibility. Also bc the first chapter is him in the future.
