i do think shavonne died from that gunshot. i truly and wholeheartedly believe that ch. 90 was either what shavonne was thinking in his last moments, or lewellyn's own mind trying to make ends meet
shavonne and lewellyn both have really weak constitutions (mental or physical) so i truly and a thousand-percent-ly believe that none of that chapter was real it was too much like what lewellyn had dreamed of
if i had to describe the feeling i had while reading this, i wouldn't know where to begin.
as soon as i started this, i knew maximin would be the one to die. it was hauntingly beautiful in the way it's foreshadowed, all the way until the revolution. seeing the final painting made me SOB. anf don't get me started on the side stories; a man who jean knew was destined to die and *was* actively dying, embracing him in a dream where all that remains is a figment of what he was like, and not a real conversation. that killed me. jean will always have an idolized imprint of him since his death, and he will slowly fade from his memory. its so fucking tragic.
kill me ┗( T﹏T )┛
the amount of people saying he had it coming because the ml raped a child... No he literally DID NOT his father was the one who did!!!!!! i am sick and TIRED guys please actually read the story.
both incidents happened on the same day so authorities assumed both things were committed by the same person. THATS ALLLLLL. . Guys PLEASE
please do not piss me off omfg thats him thrusting the knife. his dad raped the kid the same day he got killed, thats why authorities assumed he did both (similar to the MC). there's literally an entire explanation about how he detested the kid because he was jealous that his dad was having sex with the kid instead of him, he did not rape the kid. it literally makes no sense why he would have raped him . also, at the end, when the mother stabs the ml it is pretty obviously a direct mirror of what he did to her child, and she did NOT rape him. (It's also a reference to Matthew 7:2, used heavily in catholic ideology, "For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you")
It also says squelch and him talking about how it doesn’t even feel that good (he has his dick in that child’s ass unconsensually that’s the feeling he’s talking about)
I don’t know why you are fighting against the fact he raped that child, it happened and if you still like the ml after that than that’s ur opinion and that’s ok like im not going to judge you but you can’t just try to retcon the canon to suit you
Ok whatever idk why im arguing with you this is kind of embarrassing if you want to believe he didn’t rape that child go ahead
Neither of us are as smart as we think we are, I’m sorry I strawmaned u but I believe he raped that kid and you don’t and so we don’t have to argue because I realised that opinions are opinions idk why I was fighting for my life trying to prove you wrong when I can just have faith in my own opinion instead
Be fucking for real, at the start of the chapter it was literally mentioned that the kid was molested? This isn't about whether you believe it or not you just lack reading comprehension. Are you genuinely that dumb to think that the "thrust" sfx was thrusting the knife? It should've been "slash" then oh my fucking god YOU'RE the one who's like talking to a wall here. Even if the guy didn't rape the kid what changes? The kid was still murdered either way, the kid deserved the justice. I believe no one deserves to die too but if you killed a child, you definitely had that shit cominc no matter the past or what led you to do it

"People's paths would cross and diverge again; they might walk alongside each other for miles, or part and meet again by pure happenstance. Thus did the fates of countless people collide and
intertwine.
It was impossible to stop time on a night of drunken merriment or linger forever within a beautiful dream. But everyone carried the shadows their family, friends, and lovers had left upon their heart. It mattered not if they were dead or alive, or if theyd ever meet again. Those shadows would follow them like their own, wherever they chose to go "
