damn the author did a good job showing a character who is a psychopath. it’s always interesting to me when apocalypse stories explore how human behaviors change with the collapse of society and how a person like euchan with little to no empathy is in a better position to survive versus regular people. this was solid.
i think the reason ai hooking up w yukio annoyed me is bc this dude is supposedly so loyal and obsessed with hikaru but as soon as hikaru falls asleep he’s got his dick in another dude. then he gets all possessive over hikaru after he was almost raped about how other people touched him like huh? his supposed love and devotion that he says he has for hikaru just feels cheap when compared to his actions.

idk the characterization of ai feels all over the place first he’s shown as a guy who apparently will fuck another dude bc he’s horny and won’t admit it to the person he’s in love with. then he is obsessive and threatens to break hikarus legs and attempts to rape him. then he pretends to have amnesia to protect hikaru but proceeds to rape hikaru instead to try to get him to leave him alone? like bruh what even lol
the lack of respect that the ml has for the mc to meet the person who traumatized him and then basically agree with the abuser and gaslight the mc into thinking how he was treated was fine bc these poor sadists can’t control their actions apparently. the way both the ml and the ex look down on the mc is frustrating. this would’ve been a lot more interesting to me if the story showed that the experience of the ml being an M in the past made him able to be a good S as he knows what it’s like to be on the other end of the stick and he had properly chewed out the ex for being a condescending prick.

this needed like 3 more chapters because that ending was so rushed and unsatisfying damn
