Am I the only one who never understood why Cain stans would celebrate moments that spelt doom for cain x jooin? Like Cain and Jooin fuckin? To me it felt like that was the beginning of the end of their relationship. There could have been other days for them to fuck but that day wasn't one of them. That day could have been an amazing opportunity for them to bond emotionally and the most physical contact should have been cuddles and hugs. I think that moment instilled a thought in Jooin that Cain is obsessed with being in his life regardless of the nature of their relationship. I get that Cain was desperate to connect with Jooin but I don't think that was the way to go. They never even do it again and it's kinda never brought up like it was intentionally being forgotten.

Another moment is when Jooin finds Cain's 'I'm yours to claim' ring. I just got the ick tbh. I was like why would he give a ring to someone he knows doesn't feel that way about him? The ring oozed anxiety and despair. I'm not shocked the creator confirms that Cain was just giving Jooin a leash and that it wasn't a symbol of his love but a last attempt at not being abandoned by Jooin. To me the ring was my 100% confirmation that he wasn't endgame. I was really shocked that people were celebrating that because it felt like the final nail on the coffin. That ring is what makes Jooin realise he will never love Cain and that they were never in the same headspace on their feelings for eachother. It ends up having the opposite effect of what it was intended. I don't think he would have won Jooin over even without the ring but I wish he didn't give it. The look on his face when Jooin gave it back was so sad that I cried and I'm not his fan. The realisation that there was nothing he could have ever done to make Jooin love him finally sinks in and he just stops trying and accepts his reality.

I always think that for most of the series Cain wasn't playing the long game. His greed and impatience hindered him from making an emotional connection with Jooin. He knew Jooin didn't love him so he gave up on building an emotional bond with Jooin and just opted for a place in jooins life even if Jooin didn't love him. He hoped that would be enough to keep Yahwi away but Jooin was full of surprises. Jooin telling Cain that he knew nothing about him and later saying that their relationship shallow is another testament of how they never connected where it mattered the most.

Anyway I think the author was intentionally baiting people because they knew a lot of people prefer love of quantity rather than that of quality. Cain smothering Jooin with his love never meant he was better. You don't have to cling onto someone to show how much you love them. In the case of Jooin simply respecting his boundaries and not being so invasive could have gotten him points. Jooin is a simple man after all.

Ok first of all the guy who said that kusaka and that girl their relationship could've worked if only the timing was good. TBH For me I don't think they will ever work even if the timing is okay, as I can see that girl see's Kusaka as a competitor not a potential lover. She clearly manipulated him for her satisfaction as in her pov she was always being left behind. The plot is interesting but what bothered me the most is that, the girl that manipulated our ML here is fucking sick every time she gets this feeling that she would get left behind she would call him for sex to comfort her. I mean girl grow the fuck up what the fuck is wrong with you?? Also having sex with a high school student?? Dud what r u ? R u fucking drake? What the fuck? But to be real fucking honest here, I honestly don't care about her backstory at all. Even the adults who were involved in Kusaka's life made it seem like she and kusaka were soulmates for a moment. Those people failed in his life bro, it also seems like they r really rooting for a hs boy and a grown woman together. That made me realize how fucked up those adults in his life.

Second in my opinion also I want our ML to heal first before wanting to be in relationship again cuz clearly he already likes someone else but he still has this lingering feelings to the girl that tore him apart. I would love to share this to you guys that I honestly hate the latest chapter, I mean I really get how he chased her back to js u know tell her how he feels but the fact that he never went back to our FL made me sad. Reading this manga made me anxious as to seeing our ML here being anxious and scared every time his phone rings which is caused by Haruka cuz she keeps calling him.
