And the og ophe didn't have anyone she could contact so it mightve been an insider on their household, and their family already had a history with dark magic, it's possible he took the previous duchess work and gave it to the og ophe in hopes that she would fail and lose her soul/life in the process

It is! I love how there was communication going on and it's just not those type of toxic love story and the characters genuinely are understanding of each other. And their confession was reciprocated both ways and it blossomed even when the guy that came in and was such a bad character the ending actually pleased me.

1) In an earlier chapter they mentioned they only wanted animal products, so things like eggs, milk, wool etc (I don't trust that they would not hurt or kill our dudes but we will take their words for now)
2) if you're confused I think the drama tag is not referring to the modern use (ak Telenovela type drama) but the actual definition according to the Google dictionary ; "2 an exciting, emotional, or unexpected event or circumstance"
Witch I think makes sense considering the grim setting.
Also im not expecting it, but the A getting a harem woul make sense for this story but it may be an third act thing
