Honestly, this manhua is ongoing and mangago uploads the new chapters really fast so I read the same thing you read BUT... BUT BUT [SPOILER ALERT]ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
... later in the chapters, in their high school years, Jian Yi is going to get kidnapped or he’s going to magically disappear. I’m kidding, not magically but we won’t know the reason right away. All of this is yet to come tho... no one knows what it’s going to be like. (just so you know it’s what our fandom says. I haven’t heard/seen the author say this. ╮(￣▽￣)╭ )
I think we will have to wait a lot for those chapters to come. So let’s enjoy these happy chapters together (づ￣ ³￣)づ

Oh I forgot to add this - by saying “we’re just reaching the important parts” I also meant that their relationship is not clear yet. Like, this is shounen ai but we haven’t really seen that much of romance, more like a close friendship. Ohh, and we still have the characters’ mysterious pasts, like Jian Yi’s and his father’s relationship bla bla bla... so we still have a lot hehe(⌒▽⌒)

You know I was re-reading and I started wonder if Jian yi and zhang xixi are together..after he told zhang that he liked him and then the other one kissed on his forehead.. fist I assume they started dating or something bc Zhang was like, more comfortable with all of the Jian yi flirting.. but know I'm not sure.. what do you think?

Yeaahh, Xixi became really comfortable with Jian Yi’s flirty attitude. I think that euther Zhang doesn’t want to take everything to next level either he doesn’t understand his feelings. Remember, there was a chapter in which Jian Yi and Zhang Xixi we shopping and they met the black haired girl who had a crush on Xixi. In that chapter, the girl asked if Xixi loved Jian Yi, he said yes and that Jian Yi is very important and is someone who cannot be replaced. Jian Yi already confessed his love to Xixi. If he wouldn’t love Jian Yi as more than a friend he would’ve told him to keep their friendship as it is or wouldn’t be friends with him anymore, or he would just ignore it but instead he went and kissed Jian Yi on his forehead and said that he knows. However, he hasn’t confirmed their relationship yet, and Jian Yi is not being pushing either... I really don’t think they are dating cuz we haven’t seen them talking about their relationship yet, but they both have romantic feeling for each other that’s for sure (▰˘◡˘▰)

I forgot to add something again ehh. I think the kiss on the forehead was meant to calm Jian Yi down. Like, imagine confessing your love to your best friend, Jian Yi might’ve thought that their friendship is over and was visibly upset, and frustrated. Xixi’s kiss was more like “It’s okay, I know that you love me. Don’t worry about anything, I’m still with you” than “ Let’s date” . But ofc it’s only my personal opinion. I like that the story is moving slowly, it kinda gives me time to enjoy every single moment. =D

THATS THE PART that confused me. Bc he admits he likes Jian yi.. the 1st time I assume they were together.. but now I have my doubts. I mean.. they are what..15/16 right? Probably they are together and that's all (YET).

Then..remember the early chapters when a grown-up Jian yi goes to zhang's apartment to have him avisado game... He's still in highschool and the other in the Uni.. I don remember if it's in that exact chapter or later (but they ARE grown ups) where Jian yi said something about Zhang bringing girls or having a girlfriend... I got confused again hahah

I love that aspect too. We get to see them growing as characters slowly

Those early chapters confuse me SO MUCH! Sometimes I even think that those chapters have nothing to do with the overall story cuz I don’t want to believe that their relationship is going to be so messed up after so many precious moments in these chapters. Tbh, it’s not impossible for Xixi to have a gf when they grow up but their bond is toooooo strong to be broken that easily ( well, I don’t think it’s gonna be broken, but what I mean is that we’re slowly reaching the point where they almost date if they’re not dating yet, and I don’t want all of this to be ruined )...... The manhua is moving really slowly, which J kinda like but sometimes the plot just stops, and we see a lot of chapters not connected to the actual story. And also, the author focuses more on developing He Tian’s and Mo’s relationship for now which is understandable bc Jian Yi and Xixi are already really really close whereas Mo isn’t open enough to He Tian yet ( we’re getting there tho, thank God).

Yeah, I noted that too. Now we are into he tian and Mo. PLUS he tian's life is totally related to Jian yi's... specially with his dad .. so we have to see what happens.. but he will leave the school soon apparently..and we know he goes abroad :(.
Now..do you perhaps have any idea of how long takes the Author to update?? I'm dying here hahahahaha

LOL I feel you SO MUCH! The author usually updates once a week BUT there were times they didn’t upload a week or so... But they also update like random drawings, so it’s not necessary connected to the plot. You can follow their twitter account which is @old_xian .
