The villain and the mcs personality were really refreshing.
Mr. Sato is a perfect sociopath villain . I hate it when authors try to make villains who do messed up stuff cz they don’t believe in doing good. And the reason these villains turn the way they are now is cz something bad happened when they were young which made them lose hope in humanity. But sato does these messed up stuff cz he was always like this. Since he was a kid he found kick in killing small animals. It didn’t matter how much he hurt himself during fights he never bought his IBM. He only did it when he had no other option. The fights from "saving kei" to "last wave" was completely done by himself alone which shows how much he loves getting close to death. It's like a real life game to him. He solely did these things because he didn’t want to get bored. And when he got bored he didn’t care if it was a revolutionary thing he was doing he left it unfinished. Which shows that he really didn’t care how Ajins were treated by the government. Cz if he did we would see
him desperately try to stop it but instead he gets bored and plans to leave.
Keis character is perfectly described by his mother. He's rational but he's also sentimental towards the people who helps him. He also reminded me of Light from death note. How he plans things and can understand Satos next moves. It’s nice to see him make good plans but not to the point when its invincible. He's plans were solid but also flawed. But his plan could have worked if it wasn’t Sato.
Another thing that I'm really impressed about is how mangaka didn’t make the anti ajin team some quirky weirdos. I hate how in the other stories they make this kind of special team psychos. I was prepared to see some corny people come and getting in the way of the main characters. But they were normal elite soldiers who did their job properly.
I liked the other characters as much. Every one of them had a reason to be in the battle.
What made me so happy was it didn’t have a revolutionary goal like "ajin vs human and who is in the right". This story just solely focused on a riot, riots that happens a lot in normal world. It was just more impactful cz there was superpower involved.

I'm happy they didn’t end up together. Kido never cleared anything between him and kijima. He even went back to his gf while he was sleeping with kijima. Then he came back but then he started dating and got married in a year???? What did he even wanted? Then why did he give mixed signals to kijima???? Serves him right. There will always be a flame in my heart blabla then you should have dated kijima

I'm glad that they didn't end up together tbh, kido's complicated. It's already stated there, he's a shitty person and his action doesn't justified what he's been through. Both of them had that complicated relationship and I'm just glad they're not together. But yeah, at the same time I feel bad with rio and with kido's family. (at the dame time again, im intrigued on how kido's character is written. i could say he's bad but some adults are simply like that.)

Weird and edgy. Mc was never a pervert just got manipulated by some crazy bitch. I don't get it. What was so good about it? Why do people like it so much?

I guess they liked the weird vibe the manga gave off ? The mangaka can express every character's emotions quite well. I also like the plot it's interesting. However I think this manga is not good enough to be overly popular. I think maybe some ppl are just trying to be cool by saying they like this manga without having read it TwT
