Ch98 i don't think he's being rude, he is just defensive and secretive about his dysfonctionnal family out of habit. And because that's what abused children do generally, they protect their parents and they always hide the fact that they feel sad/hurt ; they don't want to face that feelings !! It would cost them too much they prefer to act proud and brave. _

i believe that a) he hates the feeling other people might pity him. b) he plays strong, out of habit as well , (i don't think he's being rude ! It's just a habit.) Remember that his whole life was AN ACT in public, both at school and at home. c) it's beautiful that he is being able to be vulnerable to Skylar when he first went to spend the night at Skylar's , it really was the very first time for him.! I bet he's going to open up more to Chan il in the future, now that he moved out of the crazy situation at home.
