Iseon is still a flawed guy because of the way he went about things. Nothing wrong with viewing love as more comforting than fluttery. It’s just that, he lacks consideration for Yumin. He wants her to understand where he’s coming from, his idea of love, but didn’t even apologize or realize how his behavior could’ve hurt her. Hence, he asked “did I ever hurt you?” Like hello? You even said how she might’ve noticed that he dated her out of pity. Let’s not forget that. ML’s ex is outwardly selfish, and FL’s ex is inwardly.

Reading the part where the citizens began to cheer his name with praise upon her ‘death’ was *chefs kiss* because all the while, he was holding her cold body in tears, and finally found out that she had loved him all along!
It reminds me of the manhwa “this witch of mine” where ML is forced to kill the FMC… but this one was satisfying because he’s so desperately trying to keep her alive
