I don´t understand why you use the word "yaoi" to try to be right, there are many romantic or sexual stories where the protagonist is a stalker, be it its genre shoujo, hentai, bl, gl, yaoi, yuri, seinen...
In my opinion, they haven´t yet put the point of view of the man or his wife, so it is still too early to start blaming someone or putting the role of the "bad one".
