Pls read the novel with the name "The star around the sun". The novel is like one of my most favourite modern danmei. Everything about it is beautiful. Their emotions, internal conflicts, love, lust for each other etc. are portrayed in such a beautiful way....I read it like 5 times and still go back for more.
I do like the manhua but it I feel like it didn't even portray 1/10th of the charm of the novel.
SO GO READ IT YOU GUYS DEFINITELY WON'T REGRET IT (unless idk for certain tropes some pple don't like. But try it at least).

I mean I agree but also… that’s the point? He kept getting his heart broken and had severe abandonment issues because his old partners were pieces of shit. The lover probably either kept it from him until he had already fallen in love or manipulated him into not pushing it. Him taking the step to actually break up with his partner because of it is good and shows his character a lot more than “oh hes a piece of crap”
