i think what makes it all feel icky, after hearing his sob story, is that he basically gets KD’s life. a life where you have no money, working job after job, and the only “family” you have is the elderly people around you. i get that he’s gracious enough to give KD a home, pay off his debts, cover his gramma’s hospital bills, etc. i think KD’s pretty grateful about all that. i mean, he strives to get the job done, he cares about JK, and KD agrees to have sex with him for the jinx. the thing is, they could coexist peacefully if they REALLY wanted to.
it’s just, the constant yelling, the emotional distress/abuse, i just don't find it necessary. he lived through it. he experienced it firsthand yk. he knows exactly what that kind of environment does to someone. there's even the neglect after sex. so idg why he is doing the same thing to those who are just trying to be there for him? people who actually care?
idk. i pity his younger self, i really do. i just thought he’d want to grow into a decent person, especially since he said he’d never be like his dad. but does that only apply to his career? not his personality? idk.
