y’all need to read my magnum opus:

i am secretly very happy i am correct since that solidifies everything else i stated heheヾ(☆▽☆)

maybe the haunted house event occurred and everyone is real, but Bada was brain ded and no one else wanted to revisit the events that led to Bada’s current state, so Doha and the cousin created a VR-futuristic game to get to the true ending (aka what happened IRL) as a way to wake up Bada. Each time the game resets, it rewires his brain and that’s why Bada gained player status. idk if this even fits the current lore, but I am heavily denying the Bada was an NPC all along theory ┗( T﹏T )┛
i decided to reread the story for funsies and i came to these realizations: the artstyle changed so much, the author is a big fan of Seventeen, Jinhyeong’s first kiss was with Uyun (ouch to the ex, but she definitely gives queer energy if she stopping initiating kisses after ch. 41; my consent (maybe lesbian) queen), Red Head might have heard rumors about “Uyun breaking up with his girlfriend” and that’s why he came strongly onto him (self-deduction, not confirmed, still rereading), Uyun’s long tongue was mentioned early on, and going from hydrogen to carbon on the periodic table is 6 turns, so Jinhyeong awkwardly looped his tongue 6 times… it’ll take an idiot to not realize
ok, so now i’m at the infamous scene. rereading it from the begining does put the whole thing into a new perspective. for one, the story started off as a commentary on BL tropes and it’s fitting to add this scene to the story — while it’s not necessary for the story to progress, it is necessary as an example to show how assault can be handled without romanticizing or covering it up. and how when handled in such an honest and delicate manner, it won’t cause a rift in the dynamic.
off the top of my head, the only other manhwa that confronted this topic is “Just Like You.” although the story wasn’t well written, per se, i would still recommend it because it actually addresses the issue. idk why some BL authors are allergic to confrontation but readily add in those scene and then sweep things under the rug. they really treat their readers like idiots
ch. 28 is so cute but i still don’t know what that tongue-like structure is??
