the art is immaculate and the story was fine but i felt really cheated that this was tagged as a switch couple. i wanted a more balanced representation but it's very clear that sangho is obviously the bottom, all the scenes featuring him bottoming were so much more detailed and sustained than with hakdo and when hakdo finally gets his moments, they either get cut off, feel really stilted, or he decides he wants to top. i originally wasn't going to read this bc the dynamics on the cover seemed pretty clear but gave it a chance bc of the switch tag and got really let-down.
ugh...i feel you. Most of the time a manga/hwa are tagged switch/seke, itll always leaned into A being more bottom than B, A is a top turned bottom or B bottoms once and people slapped seke/switch on it. It gets really frustrating to find something promising at first, and then gets disappointing when you can see which one of them the author prefers to draw as top/bottom...... sigh. I really cant wait for the day where authors would take on a more realistic approach of BL couples and do the switch tag justice.
This is the best one we got out there y'know. The other seke stories are more umm, "worst" they really let you feel which one is the bottom or the top one. Unlike this one.

Broo youre right. As someone who took apart in this conversation, I got a notif when they said Thirst, dark haven, hp for the examples. Ive read both dark haven and hp and yeah they are better examples, but when I saw thirst and not having read that yet, I zoom so fast to read it, and soooo far, only the dhampir guy bottoms and i can say i was disappointed. Really hard to find balanced seke couples One of my favourite is this one call Pygmalion i think, but even in that you can see who bottoms more. We gotta take what we have i guess.
are you up to date with it? they've switched quite a few times and it's not a selective fade to black like playtime with hakdo. what makes you think this is better when the author isn't actually walking the walk? if only one character is explicitly getting dicked down and he looks and acts like a typical uke, how is that any different than any other bl? you can tell me it's a switch but as a reader i can see and feel the imbalance.

this was pretty enjoyable! it's one of the few stories where they really tied up all the loose ends and it ends schmoopy, yet very satisfactory. i love that they adore and are supportive of each other. i love kwonyoung overcoming his need for his family's acceptance.

i loved all the flipped tropes. seeing a mindful, normal, young, short, fresh-faced, wide-eyed fan top sexually to an older, taller rock god with a persona gap is amazing
i really liked s1 (actual tears came out of my eyeballs) but they got flanderized in s2 and that really dampened the reading experience for me
