I hope Vasily. I just feel sorry for him; he lived a very sheltered life, thus he had a very naive and inexperienced view of the world, and is too scared to stand up for what is right. I think this is by design by his father to easily manipulate and force him to become complicit. I was hoping he would get a redeeming arc since he showed potential of becoming good.
Hey, whatever happened to Gaspar's lover, the cousin of the FL? I remember him and some other hooded guy crying in the crowd after Gaspar's execution. It seemed that only those two people mourned Gaspar's death.
This is why I appreciate villains far more; a good villain adds spice, adds excitement, and let's face fact, most of us thrive on hatred. If everything is just sunshine and rainbows, it'll get boring AF. If Gaspal succeeded in making you hate him, then he did a great job as a villain.
