I think right now, it’s more of a game or an experiment to the ml. I don't think he’s sincere, at least not completely. We can see his casual viewpoints on love as well as what he thought when he found the mc a namer, he wondered if the mc would feel attraction towards him without knowing of the name. It’s not about love, he’s doing for kicks. Of course, he is attracted to some degree to the mc, at least physically like he said, but it’s not like he wants true love kind of thing.
