I definitely understand why people think the author was insinuating that but after rereading it, I really don’t think she jumped, when woowon went outside after hearing the people talking, he was just looking off the boat into the fog bc he heard them talking about someone’s journey of wandering in the thick fog, he probably was thinking about his fathers soul or himself maybe? and the whole point of the moms flashback was to show she wanted to keep living for woowon and didn’t want to leave him behind, and now she is finally free of the suffering the dad caused her. but who knows, I guess we’ll have to see next chapter!
