What a cute story. Not only that, I like the realistic representation of homophobia and its impact. It was handled well and informative, and I like how the relationship still persevered as a unit through the familiar rejection, societal rejection, and after all, the acceptance through ML's family. The sex scenes also felt intimate and loving.

This would've been a 10/10 without the stupid ass dick on sleeping MC's mouth at the beginning. Why, whyyyy does BL always have the obligatory sexual assault, the ML would've been otherwise perfect (his character is otherwise interesting and compelling, BL authors and their fucking need to make it rapey). EVEN in a world where characters are rather hardcore and live like caged animals in Rainbow City, STILL, it was unnecessary as fuck. However...
The pacing of the story is overall great, the plot actually sucks you in and, despite the fact you kinda see things coming, it keeps you on your toes and you want to read more. The concept of Rainbow City (rainbow being illusionary, too good to be true as rainbows are nothing but optical illusions) being this system that centers itself as the only righteous, safe space whilst fabricating the very problem it claims to solve, is a great analogy to real life systems and propaganda machines. The religious aspects are well imbedded in the story and the concept of Adams, Eve being the vaccine, the Serpent, and the Garden of Eden is coherent. I like it.
The dynamic between the MC and the ML is full of suspense - at least, up until the point the ML decided to fully side with the MC (I thought it was a very cool dynamic the way ML and MC were kinda playing cat and mouse as they were seemingly opposing each other in their motives and goals, and how the ML was torn between fulfilling his duties and keeping the MC safe). It also makes sense that Major Kwak betrayed his duties though, and I like how it's not just a romantic plot device, but given his past and how he was treated by the system in RC itself, him siding with a rebel doctor makes absolute sense. It doesn't feel forced or cheesy, it's a very coherent dynamic that's emerged from this fact, and I'm hoping the next season/the ending isn't rushed, non sensical or otherwise cringe because as of now, it's a very promising story!
