Where the FUCK do I begin. A genuine shock, heartbreak and realistic story - ok realistic is a stretch - not fully wrong though. Immediately you get thrusted into the main characters world, seeing rape in all its ‘glory,’ witnessing the perverse lens of the twisted business men running the circus. At first I was deeply critical of the overexposure of the rape scenes, showing pleasure in the midst of the anguish and trauma. Yet, it was almost essential in making this story possibly even more tragic if without the explicity. To watch MC twist and turn to escape their personal hell and to yet no avail was truely amplified but the deep exploration of the scenes. But again I can’t help but feel the author did explore their own personal fantasies within the manhw, the attention to detail in the raw eroticism was at points captivating even though I was sick to my stomach. It takes a lot for an artist to not only disturb but to arouse something within, horrible feeling. In the end despite understanding the necessity to illustrate the horrors, dragging the suffering of the character for chapters upon chapters felt unnerving as much as it was accurate to how the experience would feel. Idk I feel like the comments are enjoying this manhwa too much like yaoi, even the tags are so unexpected, am I the only one who wasnt reading this as porn??
