This is kinda fucked up. Does the red haired brother of the ml (is he the current emperor or not, the translation is a bit confusing) actually care about his brother? Because his behaviour created unnecessary suffering and misunderstandings and did he just burn the letter before it could reach the ML? Looks to me like he didn't actually want things to work out between the FL and ML!
I think it's cuz of what happen with their parents so he prob did it out of guilt, like not wanting his brother to go through the same fate as his mom and thought they would somehow be happy since the brother and princess kind of "liked" each other before she knew who he was.

Now this was an amazing story!
Though in that one scene where the mother told the FL that she became like her dead sister when dating her boyfriend at the time, rather than saying it's because the FL dates the same guy I'd say it's because the FL unconciously tried to be just like her late sister because she loved her so much. I mean that's the only reason why it would make sense to become EXACTLY like the sister. Otherwise you couldn't become EXACTLY like the ex just because you date the same person, maybe similar but not exactly the same.
this can't even be compared to its previous version! THIS IS AWESOME!!!
