I actually can’t get past chapter 5 I’m so stressed out. This is too much already and the comments aren’t helping me continue. I know I’m going to be absolutely MISERABLE at the end and I just can’t get there. The replacement trope by itself is enough but you’re telling me they’re BOTH mentally unstable? AND relying on each other for comfort when that’s a terrible coping mechanism to have??? I can’t. I won’t. Maybe in a few YEARS but I refuse.

I feel like the reason Bada can’t kill the killer is bc he’s an NPC. Doha made Bada THINK he’s the main character when it’s actually Doha. This would explain why Doha can kill the killer and him having the other NPCs cassette tapes. Bada most likely escaped and lost all his memories as an NPC and awoke as a player.
The killer never targeting Doha also is most likely bc in horror games the main character died last. There would be chase sequences, sure, but usually all the other NPCs have to die first before the MC.
Doha most likely gave up on beating the game and focused on being with Bada which would explain why he’s so obsessed with Bada so fast. His moral compass was broken after being stuck in the game WAYY longer than Bada.
Doha killing a villager in the first chapter confirms this theory as that decision wouldn’t make sense for a normal, stereotypical NPC. He was most likely just fucking around or trying to find a new ending. Him ignoring Bada after he tells him he’s in a game even further proves this bc he’s telling him something he already knows. He’s had that conversation before and knows the outcome so there’s no point in indulging with Bada then as it would only make him suspicious knowing Bada’s character.
I think Doha does want out of the killing game but he wants it with Bada, an NPC he fell in love with, to the point he’s OBSESSED. He knows almost everything abt Bada. He knows almost everything abt the game but he WONT do it without Bada. He’s letting Bada play MC now, knowing he’s the MC.
