To the people out there who only read the surface of the story, please don't over react to that one "Rape Scene" you say. Kindly read the whole story and discover the beauty of the characters and the story's' development. Please don't be narrow-minded and open the possibilities that maybe the author had something else in mind. If this is not a good one as you said then, why did they make an Animation on this? Though the animation did skip those sensitive parts because they had to but the main point is the story of the characters it self.
I really love their story and I just can't let other people say that it's just the same "Sex, Sex, Sex, Sex" thing found in most Yaoi stories. For sure, everyone who reads Yaoi knows that it has no abstinence for everything is explicit.
I don't want to argue about it so much but I really felt insulted when a good Manga especially something that I have acknowledge is being criticized about not being good because of its cover or rather because of it's FIRST chapter. Readers should be responsible on determining when to speak about it especially if you have read it all.
Man~! I'm so pissed! Thank you for reading this.( ̄へ ̄)
First off, I've read what's available and have listened to the BLCDs. I love where the anime is going because it's essentially removing the problematic content in the manga (they didn't skip it, they intentionally changed it--even Junjou Romantica didn't do that). That and all the smut content relegated to implied sex for mainstream view, the anime adaptation is a heck of a lot different from the manga. Consider that perspective for people coming in from the anime, searching for the manga version of this title.
In lieu of that and the "over-reaction", rape doesn't end with the violent act. There are psychological effects that last a long, long time. To say that it was all just in the first chapter is apologist talk. The first 8 chapters of this manga read like a drawn out descent into stockholm syndrome, especially considering Junta's yandere character and how manipulative he is.
You can be critical of a work while at the same time loving it. I suggest to acknowledge that people have their own limits because you don't know their background and avoid calling someone narrow-minded for pointing out something that is a crime in the real world. I personally tend to recommend this title asking them to skip and go directly to Volume 0--which is a good starting point as any considering it's their first meeting.
I mean, I'm not really fun of S&M with Shota's but I'm so curious about the 2nd story. I'm getting the feeling that Usagi is the Uke and Washidaya is the Seme. Because I can't imagine UsagixWashidaya there. (▰˘◡˘▰)
This story can only end when everyone and his hamster cross-dressed at least twice. Oh and Nephero simmers naked in his salt pans. He can be mad, pitiful, broken, I honestly don't care. He's got a date with the cat-o'-nine-tails.
