There's no actual development towards their relationship and I usually eat up toxic romance but this one was just very eh. let me just smbau though before those ceasar apologists come storming

To be fair I think there was always meant to be a power dynamic. Not saying that the female lead isn’t strong or anything. and I think the way the author depicts the relationship to me wasn’t super selling the romance either lol.
In my opinion, I always felt like she fell for him out of nowhere and then I don’t know if you know about the spoilers, so I’ll stop here, but it did feel like their romance was a bit lackluster. I think Cesar was always meant to be an asshole and maybe a little bit redeemable just tiny.
I do think that he’s very pretty and she’s also very pretty so I like reading this. I’ll give them this though. I do think they have amazing chemistry/sexual tension, but it could be just pretty privilege helping since all I do is stare at them lol. Anyways I completely agree with everything.
Wasn’t it kinda implied she fell for his bad boy behavior? Like even despite all the insufferable things he’s done to her and inspite of how they first encountered each other she feels a dizzying attraction to Caesar that’s kinda indescribable.
In the novel her pov was more fleshed out and it highlighted through the entirety of the novel on how she was swept by his charm. Caesar on the other hand seemed to find her charming simply bc despite all his harm and absurdity he sees her as indestructible or unmoving.
The manhwa adaptation had to really lessen his inscrutable character and incorrigible view points hence why they’re kinda depicting him as a loser boi ML who was way in over his head as family head so he overcompensated by being unruly and brusque. Whereas Adele is now a FL who’s weathered by her past and is more astute and demure than her temperamental self in the novel.
I think we’ll see some more changes with both if their characters. Also what the above comment said too; the power dynamic was highlighted to kinda show how their respective personalities were forcibly brought out so it feels so icky and heavy

Still nonetheless their relationship lacks substance, seems it’s physically attraction and they’re both blinded by it. Fl hates ppl like him although Hes not like other wealthy ppl, hes still a dick through and through. And honestly, if we’re keeping it real, he psychologically torture her emotionally and then also physically abuse her. Sexualize her like all time, not to mention their weird pseudo incest vibe they got going too.
They went 0 to 100 real fast. Apparently he treats everyone like shit, even wealthy people, but he would’ve never treated them the way he treated fl and that’s bc she couldn’t fight back. I heard people who read the novel said he changed, but overall his personality stays the same and he barely had a real redemption arc. I think that their sexual tension is great, but the romance is very flat. Maybe that’s why a lot of people feel like it’s lacking substance
