Yeah, I agree! I’m sure we’ll get a taste of that later too, though. I’ve always enjoyed OP main characters, but it’s nice to see her work a little. I especially like how they didn’t drag that out too much
I definitely think its refreshing to see a MC try hard to achieve what she wants! Sometimes, when other mangas make things fall into place way too easily, it feels predictable and I'm like ah yeah bc shes the mc. It's such a human thing, to try hard and fail but she never gives up so you can't help but want to cheer her on

I mean the kid did nothing wrong. If Lou kills the king before he "trains" the kid, or appoints him as his successor, then naturally Ian (the oldest and knowledgeable one) will be the one to take the throne. But I agree with everything else.

For some reason he seems to want the guy only as a competitor to Ian, not really someone who will actually take the throne. Idk why, and I do not wanna understand the bastard king anyways..
