Looking at the cover and reading the tags, I’m hoping that the relationship of our leads in the story would be meaningful, akin to that of camaraderie or like brother/sisterhood or something similar; not just the typical romance or that attraction theory of the suspension bridge effect (do kindly correct me if I’m wrong), which happens in such a thrilling genre

Either way, it’s up to the author whether or not there would be a romantic subplot. I’ll just react whenever I feel like it xD I just hope the main storyline holds up along with the art as this seems very interesting to me.

What these works in this kind of genre never fail to include or show is what I’d interpret as the greedy aspect of humanity; making up justifications to claim it for themselves with little to absolutely no contribution or relevance regarding the acquisition of said item.

If you’ve made it to the latest chapters, you’d know which particular scene I’m referring to. It just made it obvious to me since they did good on showing and making it linger the press con/messages/ or whatever those country leaders are doing.

Although it’s not new, the absurdity and shamelessness just leaves me flabbergasted and so infuriating. It’s impressive they were able to gather their forces but goodness, they wouldn’t even give a chance for the others to bask in their well-deserved victory.

It’s why I’d love it even more when the MC’s or anyone for that matter, could counter or not let these hyenas succeed. I guess that’s the fiction aspect of it but heck, I’ll take the joy of petty revenge vicariously living through these characters. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Knowing that the hounds worship Guwon (the ML), I know for sure they have no regard for human life, too. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re worse. But dammit, why are the unhinged loose screws be attractive as heck ╮(￣▽￣)╭ Is there a tradeoff: for the price of attractiveness, they will not be right in the head? And dammit, why does it work so well in fiction (￣∇￣")

Story-wise, I like it as well as the pacing; how most of the start was light and then gradually leaned to the darker end, making that light start feel tainted.

There are a few scenes/panels that made me think is there something more to this, like 1)when the little girl was looking at the two when they were whispering, but I could chalk it up to her being just a kid; or, 2) when Guwon is talking to himself, maybe this is just for showing how he’s insane. The elephant in the room would be why Guwon looks like how he is.

That said, this is just season 1. I’m looking forward to the next season. I feel reassured that the author mentioned that they’re taking care of the manuscript. Also, the master bl friend’s description on the main characters was spot on xD
