So prince Zeth decides not to reveal Louie's secret to his father and proposed a deal. Louie should share the real intention of his father and the diplomatic plans they made. But Louie being the hidden prince, hardly knew anything about his kingdom’s diplomatic plans and what the royal family is plotting and failed to be of help. Prince Zeth left angrily as he misunderstood his intention but did stay silent.
Louie lost his way and as the servants in the palace were avoiding him, he ended up meeting the White Hart (long, white haired guy) who reveals he was supposed to be married off the Zeth but for some reason they couldn’t. Louie things it's his fault and gets more upset.
At night the King holds a special feast in the name of Zeth and Louie to celebrate their marriage. While the king and the princes were having dinner, Zeth and Louie were given a special Sake by the king which turned out to be an aphrodisiac. It had deer blood in it so Zeth got affected way more than Louie and jumped him. Louie was ready to get taken by him but Zeth tried to control himself which further lowered Louie's self esteem as he thought Zeth found his body unappealing.
He was being sent food and flowers regularly but they couldn’t face each other. Zeth got angry at his father, the king and confronted him for giving them aphrodisiac without them knowing. The king admitted what he had done and confessed that he only wanted them to have a child, as war could break out any minute and they urgently needed a baby born out of royal family members of those two nations (the baby and the mother Louie would also play a role of hostage). Zeth further gets angry at the king, telling him that Louie did not deserve to bear such heavy responsibility on his shoulder and he's already very weak so carrying a child would harm his body more.
Meanwhile Prince Zeth's baby nephew (yes, the one we saw Zeth's elder brother's wife carrying in her belly in the prequel) found Louie upset and dragged him to the white hart's room who was previously betrothed to Zeth, saying Louie could learn more about Zeth from him as they were very close fiends and make up with Zeth.
The baby got taken away by the servant as he had actually sneaked out and fled from his tutor, Lol. Zeth arrives as the servants leave with the baby. The white hart guy jokingly says "There are lots of guests visiting me today!"
While Zeth tries to apologise for jumping Louie, Louie starts crying, saying that he should be the one to apologise as Zeth might have found his body disgusting. Zeth tries to tell him that is not the case. The white hart gets angry and accused Zeth of making him cry and kissed Louie. Zeth said it looked like he was pulling a prank on Louie but the white hart says he's actually serious.
Extra chapter : Louie crosses path with Zeth while he was talking with a subordinate but runs away after getting scared by the wolves surrounding him. Zeth follows him and finds out, Louie is scared of them. He tries to assure him that the wolves won't hurt him and Louie was like "Yeah but they're judging me!" as he had thought for being an unworthy bride of Zeth. Zeth assures him, that is not the case.
We find out the royal family including Prince Zeth can indeed communicate with the wolves as they have thicker black wolf × white deer blood than the commoners.
We can see in the last panel that one of the wolves actually loves Louie's small and follows him around, which is really cute.

Also, fans seem to be sending gift and letters to characters which the Author-nim is replying to. So cute!

So basically Alta gets married to the prince but they don't get intimate. He goes on learning about plants and medicine and teaching kids at the royal palace. Meanwhile none of his letters to Ilwes gets replies cause apparently Ilwes got his head injured in the landslide (we saw here in the last chapter) and lost his memories.
When the eldest prince gets on the throne, Alta and his husband (the prince) were sent with the messengers to the North, to declare the new King. Prior to the journey, Alta had overheard some people at the palace gossiping that the winter of the North was quite harsh that year and a huge number of people were sure to d!e, which had him worried, thinking that's the reason he wasn’t getting any reply from Ilwes. Upon arriving to the North, Alta suddenly meets Ilwes in the crowd and runs to him but finds about the accident and the memory loss and gets heartbroken. Although he tried to remind him of their relationship, Ilwes could not remember a thing. Even after sleeping together that night, he couldn’t remember a single thing but assured Alta that he did remember the feelings he had for him.
They decided to face the prince and ask him to let Alta go. The prince gets furious as they appeared smelling like each other and said they had shamed him enough. He reminds them that Alta's life in the palace was comparatively easier and that they would be chased and hunted down all their lives if they flee with each other who are not mates. Here we find out that the Prince hadn’t done anything with Alta. Alta said the prince could've forced him but he didn’t. Although the prince said it was because Alta was infertile and it would actually be a pointless act (all they had to do was to show up in public as a couple), Alta knew its's because the prince was kind.
Alta and Ilwes begged him to let them be together. The prince was harsh with his words as usual but Alta reminded him that it doesn’t actually matter if they can reproduce or not or if they would be chased all their lives. Alta reminded the prince that the essence of the White Hart and Black Wolf story is that they followed their hearts and stayed together despite their differences. The fact that Alta and hearts want each other should be enough of a reason for them to be together and reminded that the prince was never intimate with him for the very reason. The prince and Alta never had feelings for each other, the prince was just following the rules and fulfilling his duties cause he loved his nation and the people. He couldn’t force Alta either cause he was kind and a good man.
At the end, the prince took a knife and cut off a bunch of Alta's hair and told one of his subordinates to take that to the capital and declare Alta's de*th from landslide. Ilwes and Alta properly thanked him and left.
The volume ends with a happy ending where Alta is seen to have moved to another country in the far East with Ilwes and becomes a pharmacist (opens a pharmacy for the villagers). Ilwes returns with a grain sack which concerns Alta, making him ask Ilwes if they could afford it. Ilwes replies that due to the winter, it was expected for the price to go up (but they could afford it which indicates they're doing good)
It seemed Ilwes' memory had still to come back but Alta decided to leave it be. "Maybe it's better he doesn’t remember" he said in his mind and consoled himself thinking it's not the most important thing cause it's all in the past.
Just then, Ilwes hands him a packet of seeds of white flowers and said something like "We made promises to plant flowers together didn't we?" (when they were in the jungle, the time they fled) indicating that his memories were starting to come back!

Okay now that there's a sequel and side story, we at least know that they're gonna get together. But how? That's what I'm waiting to see.

This is the only Omegaverse BL Manga I've read where Alphas and Omegas marrying within their own subgender is not only expected but also really common.

I think it would make more sense if Alphas were crazy over Omegas and make them their wives or mistress one way or other. Doesn't seem unusual when the first group holds most of the wealth and power while the latter group is biologically in a difficult position to work and thrive.
