Based on this chapter I feel like I won’t like it but I’ll read it anyways lol. Yes I’m a hater but I typically don’t like these cop stories (Nakwon my asshole narcissistic king you are an exception)
those ppl were hella sus , he didn’t do any actual detective-ing to figure out they were a potential lead. like dude they’re all on drugs having an orgy so you’re gonna go and look for “evidence” ??
Also why would working at a cafe keeping track of ppl be an effective way of doing undercover investigation of the cartels etc. He even said he spent two months doing literally nothing, like why is the government paying him to run a cafe??
I just HOPE the “backstory” is short and that we move to the main/current timeline soon.

I’m reading the novel, and it has helped me further realize why I like the dad more than the son. In the manhwa, they make it clear that yisu and jihyung met years before the main plot. However, unlike the novel, it doesn’t clearly establish that yisu lived with the Kang’s for years.(unless I just forgot, I quickly reread the manhwa to see but I might have missed it lol) For years he was “married” to jihyung and did the house work, cooked, cleaned. Years. It doesn’t say how many, but that doesn’t matter.
Yisu gave up his career and friends in order to make his father-in-law happy and to stay with jihyung. But jihyung pretended to date that random woman and left. He didn’t come back for MONTHS, leaving yisu behind with jihyungs abusive father.
You do not do that to someone you care about. Yes, it was jihyung’s plan to annoy his father etc, but he could have easily told yisu??? Or talked to him ?????? Not ignore him for months (I’m not sure the exact time).
But he didn’t. Because he doesn’t care and was annoyed with yisu
Jihyung doesn’t care about yisu, he saw him as a way to annoy his father. Later, yisu is an annoying obstacle to accomplish his goals. I really think he might be aro and/or ace since other than yisu, he never had any relationship. He also only has sex with Yisu because he wants to take over the company, and knows that’s the main leverage he has over yisu.
Jungman is an asshole and abusive, but he values yisu. He also actually enjoys having sex with him and spending time with him. Their dynamic is definitely not the healthiest, but they undeniably care and help each other out. Yisu knows what to expect from him.
You could write a think piece about the toxic elements of their relationship, but pls calm down first. Realize this is a comedy manhwa where the MC becomes his father-in-law’s lover and also becomes his adopted son.
(Okay but if someone writes one I’ll read it LOL). Both the son and dad are not good people, the MC has also done messed up stuff. The dad and MC is just , in my opinion, the better couple.
Jihyung let yisu give up other parts of his life, only for jihyung to completely abandon him. Jungman has made yisu the heir to his company and supported his projects at the company.
Based on what had been revealed so far, it seems like they kind of had to break up. Leo was not respecting JJ. Leo is disorganized and unfocused, and JJ did a lot of work to keep his schedules and life on track. It seems like Leo did not respect the effort JJ made in getting Leo out of trouble. JJ did not feel respected or valued in their relationship.
JJ didn’t tell Leo things because he pm already assumed Leo wouldn’t listen. I think JJ was justified in feeling that way, but it seems he didn’t really communicate and give Leo the chance to grow.
Leo needs some time on his own to become more self sufficient. Or at the very least, get support from other people instead of exclusively relying on JJ. Similarly, JJ should communicate his issues to Leo instead of assuming how he would react. Once Leo grows on his own, he can reflect on his past actions and properly apologize to JJ.
I love this comment, explained everything perfectly
Love this comment. This is usually usual relationship problem in real life too
I mean it should be common sense to not treat your significant other as a dildo or a personal assistant. JJ deserves better.
