I no longer take this manhwa seriously. Idk if this makes sense, but I now view it somewhat as a comedy. Makes the experience much more enjoyable
(Tho I still don’t find SA funny. But burning faces, physical fighting, the MC laying face down in a river w the drawing progressively getting closer??, Hilarious)
I love the layers of drama. But both the alpha and omega suck. The alpha is an asshole, while the omega has a friendly facade, but in truth is highly manipulative. At least the omega is actually nice to jihyuk.
But tbh I would love an ending where jihyuk ends up with no one. I just don’t like either of the love interests
Okay but can we pls have them talk about all the abuse from earlier in the manhwa? I still don’t think Joohyuk realizes how he treated eunoh was wrong. I don’t think I could ever support their relationship unless all the abusive and toxic stuff is actually addressed.
And I can’t be the only one that was so relieved when Joohyuk left. when he was mentioning eun-oh being “defenseless” I was lowkey worried about what would happen
Although the plot is incredibly cliché, predictable, and sometimes boring, I enjoyed it. If anything, its predictability made it a very easy read. I was in the mental state to want something that gave me no surprises. So despite the flaws, this was actually comforting to read lol. I especially enjoyed the side stories. Instead of it showing them being in a fluffy relationship, they are both somewhat miserable. It fits with the toxic dynamic they had during the main story. Manhwa tend to try and ignore all the abuse and have the couple immediately become happy in love. Not this one.
Throughout this manhwa, hayoon did not become madly in love with the alpha. And I really appreciated that. Other manhwa that use the same formula (in debt uke, rich seme, past encounter, contract relationship, I could list like ten other things lmao), typically have to uke fall in love with the seme. I always roll my eyes when the naïve uke falls madly in love with the asshole seme that treats them like garbage. Although hayoon cared about the alpha and liked him, his feelings didn’t become incredibly intense.
The relationship in this manhwa was kind of satisfying to me; they both hold the same muddled, complicated feelings for each other. Only at the end of the extras do they become more comfortable with their relationship, and had more domestic moments. And given that there was a bit more build up, it felt like a deserved ending (especially the slight time skip). I prefer that to the uke having an intense one sided love, and the emotionally stunted seme only realizing his feelings at the last possible moment.
Still, this manhwa was very predictable and doesn’t have much depth. Plus the plot was incredibly rushed. So its only good if you’re in the mood for something super simple and basic
(Also I agree with others, the dog chapter was probably the best one)

When it went WHOOOSH as he fell down the cliff it me cackle lmao. Especially since there was a white glowing halo around him
