Are you really defending the ML rn? There's like a million reasons why he is so problematic. Around chapters 4 and 5 we saw jjk continuously calling Kim Dan and trying to pressurize him into becoming his therapist and sexual partner. Given his poor economic situation he agrees. He was emotionally manipulated by jjk into being his "physio therapist". Kim Dan's personality of being easily manipulated doesn't erase the fact that he has been rap*d a multiple times. He cannot leave the situation because he can't make the same amount of money elsewhere and well he is in love with jjk.
