I'm kinda confuse
(Ok, someone correct me if I'm wrong)
So, Lilith lost during the match on purpose, thinking that Winter Moon would lose. This was meant to be pay-back for destroying the other group (I've forgotten their name - whoops). This was pretty much the only reason she was helping them out - basically, she was a double agent.
And then the crafting guild master dude is tired of Ministry being so full of themselves or whatever, and decided to aid Winter Moon to indirectly annoy/hurt/whatever Ministry
