The adventurer manga I'm reading right now has a side character girl with melanin, with a quiet and capable personality. We don't see her often but it's more positive than many portrayals.
I have to agree with the girl part, but I myself would count yandere characters as beasts as well and there's a lot of white dudes there
I think there's a big difference between characters who are literally portrayed as beasts or beast men or slaves, vs. yandere characters who have arguably dodgy personalities.
There's a long history of this and unfortunately it's done consciously and subsciously, which makes it harder to combat.
as someones whos relationship has turned toxic further down the line before. my advice is take a break, like fully. out of life out of sight for half a year to a year. both of u get ur shit together and talk again if u want to. if u dont then u dont just fit together and should go live ur own lives.
