I love me a redemption arc for a scumbag but nah this guy’s beyond redeemable. Like when bro confessed what he did to the MC on the stairs I was begging our MC to push him down the stairs and spare us from seeing anymore of his dumbass smirk. Kill this man now plz
2.5/5 stars. I had a REALLY hard time getting into the story at first. Like I was really bored but once Jonathan moved in with Kister things started to get interesting.
Definitely a lot of loose ends and character arcs that felt rushed/unfinished, which left them feeling pretty empty. Like Baron barely got a crumb of character, Jonathan is all over the place, and I really wanted to see more form my boy Jerome, lol. And don’t even get me started on Robert. There was all this tension building up to him being some crazy dude and yet…nothing. He kinda just gave up…
But for a story I struggled to get into at first it did surprise me. The plot was engaging, it was really just the characters that fell kind of flat. But I really liked the plot twist and the overall narrative. I didn’t even mind the lack of BL because the mystery by itself was engaging enough for me
Despite its flaws, I had a good time, it kept me hooked towards the end
