I dunno about yall but Cárcel is ridiculous childish and self centered from the beginning. All the sleeping around he did to get Ines attention was so questionable because how would doing that get the woman you love’s attention? Not only that but he only ever thought “oh how can I make this about me” when he never saw Ines, and he knew no one saw her (obviously because she was going through mental health issues) but Cárcel never once thought outside his box as to why she never appeared in public, even all the way into adulthood so you can’t even blame it on his age. Only after finding out what Ines was going through did his little mind click. I’m sure he didn’t even think about the amount of fluids with diseases he might be carrying. Even after he regretted losing his virginity the first time he still continued? What a lack of brain usage. Of course Cárcel is definitely not nearly as bad as the men in Ines’s past, I mean the redhead is literally the devil but the glaze on his character is annoying. He only started making lewd moves on Ines when she didn’t show interest towards him, not even affection but straight to being a horndog, he was selfish with his own desires. Why Ines decided to play into it when she was so much smarter then that I dunno, but to put Cárcel on a pedestal for the absolute bare minimum is so tiring
