I hate what this story has become and defending Nathan is so low. Nathan knew that Andrew was actively seeking a relationship and held affection for him so yes it is fucked up that he went to go sleep with someone else, yes he is playing with Andrew’s feelings in that moment. You can’t fuck around with a 20 year old expecting them to NOT act like a fucking 20 years old. Nathan is literally pushing 30 he should know better.
And yea it isn’t his job to “fix” Andrew or “baby” him but it’s common fucking decency (if you have any) to not dismiss someone who’s clearly emotionally distressed over something YOU caused. If Nathan just wanted sex he could have said “Hey Andrew just letting you know I’m only entertaining you because you have a huge dick that I want up my ass, no more”. It’s that simple.
If Nathan ACTUALLY wanted a relationship with him then you have to work with that persons insecurities, why? Because that’s what you do for someone you actually care about. If that something you don’t want to put up with then DONT entertain that persons feelings. You want to date a 20 year old? Then be ready to put up with said 20 year old. Sure it’s not wrong if Nathan wants sex and it’s important to him in a relationship, that’s understandable. But what IS wrong is leaving Andrew in that fuckass hotel room after the dumb fuckery Nathan pulled. You can’t say Nathan is more emotional intelligent when he’s clearly not. Oh but if Andrew was a girl Nathan’s actions wouldn’t be this defended (¬_¬)

i think it’s both..? he’s obviously obsessed with her but being obsessed with her made him love her even more. i don’t see him going through all this work to get to know her and build a relationship with her to throw her aside which makes me believe he loves her.
but that is just my analysis…
Maybe this is their backstory on how they got together. They are already happily married with kids and a stable life in the future. Just my head canon

I think it's always been both. Like others have said they for sure have some sort of backstory, like (random common trope that would fit): Taeha was a lonely and abused child and Haesoo years ago was the first and only person to help him/show him kindness without any second motives, and that probably made him both have a crush on her and be obsessed. Then he probably grew up and started looking for her in order to persue a relationship with her but she was already married, so he studied the situation etc etc
