I might get hate for this but I don’t really fuck with Cárcel all that much. Like yes he’s definitely not the worst by any means but he’s lowkey annoying. Besides the fact that physical intimacy to him isn’t all that special given he’s done it with a bunch of other women, I felt really annoyed to see him switch up the moment Ines showed no interest. In the earlier chapters he was also a creep with telling Ines he would get her pregnant one way or another which lowkey sounds like a threat especially with the time era they are in.
Another peeve of mine is seeing people get mad at Ines for manipulating Cárcel into marriage. This poor girl died and suffered brutally but oh let’s care about Carcels feeling getting hurt? Seriously? God forbid a girl wants to avoid a painful life. He’s put on a pedestal for the bare minimum.I don’t understand why Ines let him have his way so easily and sometimes I wish she had put her foot down harder.
