I think the reason people hate her so much is that the first few chapters when we were introduced to her, she was either crying or forced to be calmed down by someone else. How a character is introduced can leave an impression on what to expect in the future. I get why people are trying to defend her because her character development is still happening. Maybe the author could have save this if Zay was reincarnated at birth rather than in the middle of adulthood. That way, we can have a sense on what kind of character she is from her interactions with her relatives. Instead, our FL is just a girl who died from crying too much.
