I read the official translations again and on ch5 you can see a 3rd person on the title image or however it's called, the one based on red riding hood in that chapter, and that person looks awfully similar to him!!! there's still hope that the author is planning to set them up right from the start and I'll keep running with that delusion

people find isagi’s dialogue quite corny this chapter but i completely disagree,, and trust me i know ball when it comes to his corny lines. everything he said was very much true and real imo - ditch the collective actualisation of being the best striker and just be selfish. the essence of blue lock as a whole is derived of an individual drive & desire for personal success soo in order to truly imitate, why not learn from those who have learnt such ideologies first hand.

seeing how much everyone in blue lock has improved is actually so satisfying. the other games that isagi had played in forced him to struggle soo much and find innovative new ways to defeat his opponents. seeing the results of continuously partaking in difficult matches which strain both their minds and bodies to their limits on a team like nigeria, who unfortunately seem pretty average is like a breath of fresh air. this is what they’ve been working hard to accomplish, the results of their vigorous training. like the calm before the storm also.
i mean its pretty obvious that a system that forces players to play football with their lives on the line would eventually breed a team that excel past mediocrity. lets also hope bllk doesn’t become overly confident with their abilities and start to relax and underestimate their opponents. i hiiiighkey doubt it though lol.
