seeing how much everyone in blue lock has improved is actually so satisfying. the other games that isagi had played in forced him to struggle soo much and find innovative new ways to defeat his opponents. seeing the results of continuously partaking in difficult matches which strain both their minds and bodies to their limits on a team like nigeria, who unfortunately seem pretty average is like a breath of fresh air. this is what they’ve been working hard to accomplish, the results of their vigorous training. like the calm before the storm also.
i mean its pretty obvious that a system that forces players to play football with their lives on the line would eventually breed a team that excel past mediocrity. lets also hope bllk doesn’t become overly confident with their abilities and start to relax and underestimate their opponents. i hiiiighkey doubt it though lol.
poor nigeria seems like a team which will be used to show bllk’s growth </33

IM SAYYYINGGGG. bllk already struggling against nigeria at the beginning of this arc/against every opponent they face would highkeyy be an insult to their own efforts nd training & just outright unrealistic, though i can’t say summoning monstrous auras on the field and partaking in training facilities which determine the fate of your career on a national level is in any way realistic but i digress.

this is actually… insanely good. i don’t think i’ve laughed this hard at a manwha so consistently ever. the comedic aspect of this is top notch i’m genuinely never not smiling or excited for what’s to come next. this story is so engaging!! hats off to the author truly. i don’t think i could ever get tired of leo & her father’s bickering and lupert always being present to oversee it is so entertaining. the constant muscle gag is something i can actually never get tired of too lol.
the sense of community aswell is something else. absolutely beautiful. it’s so easy to get attached to all of the characters and their unique personalities. ughh i love them all to death.
also the ARTSTYLE?? WOWWWWWWWW is really all i can say. it is absolutely magnificent for starters and the fact that rather than the art taking a severe hit in the long-term, the art actually got BETTER?????? its really common to see artsyle changes in terms of a decline in quality but the art in this manwha just continues to get better. there’s no sacrifice for the sake of getting out more chapters or whatever reasons they may have for decreasing the quality of the art and i’m really just in awe of the fact to be honest. also the eyelashes.. i’m highkey obsessed. the illustrators deserve so much recognition, i am so appreciative of their efforts!
now onto the genuine story & plot. i think it’s amazing how we see a balance of the duke being a father whilst also completing his duties. normally in these types of parenting/childcare stories, i find that the story centres around the main character who is the child and their own personal events, however there is such a lovely point of equilibrium reached between the two themes in this story. it doesn’t leave emptiness in the story at all and certainly leaves no room for boredom!! i love the use of plot twist also here; finding out the truth behind leo’s birth was something that truly baffled me. the deception from ms. connier (saura) and her involvement in the death of her biological mother as well as her position in establishing the illegal child trafficking ring under the guise of an orphanage was something totally unexpected and a twist that i thoroughly enjoyed, although i was initially quite suspicious of her when she couldn’t get used to saying leo’s new name. the link between the past story to the present events in the timeline is so smooth it just fits into place so perfectly.
on the topic of leo, i also adore the depths to which her character has been explored. on the outside, she may seem like a mature and intelligent child obsessed with muscles as a result of her knowledge of her past life. i absolutely love how the author does not compromise her past life experiences and likes and how it is expressed through her character. however, the author does not forget that she is a grown woman in a child’s body clearly seen through leo’s development of more childlike qualities as well as her emotional processing despite being a child. i don’t think i explained what i was trying to explain quite right but who cares. i’m not a scholar lol
this is definitely one of the best childcare historical manwhas i’ve ever read and i crave more. the combination of the beautiful art alongside the skilfully woven threads of comedy and the very mature and realistic take to being thrust into a child’s body definitely makes this a story not be forgotten and recommended to others. i remember reading one season a while ago and normally when i return to read an old manwha that i liked, i’d see that as i have aged i crave something more, something that satisfies my newly developed brain and something that i can engage with with a more mature mindset the way i engaged with it as i was younger. this is a story that definitely did not disappoint and something i can guarantee will not disappoint me in the future when i read the next season as it has not disappointed me now reading season two a year later.
i have so much more to say about this but i’d genuinely be here for days just yapping and i’d rather find another story as good as this lol.

If you do successfully find a story with a well developed plotline like this one let me know, because I have yet to find anything to top this and I first found this story when it had 4 chapters. I'm glad I found someone who thinks this story is just as well done as I do. It helps that the plot is unique and not similar to others of the same genre.

nah why is isagi actually like.. wow. he’s already put the pieces together????? and it’s not the 89th minute?????????? what is this sorcery??????? no intense gameplay and struggle for him to grasp the way to victory????????????
truly my goat.
ALSO BROOOO. the way my stomach fr dropped when the match started. i’m feeling nerves for ink on paper.. for a fictional football team.. grass is desperately calling to be touched.
ALLLSOOOOOO, the team chem on nigeria’s team seems really strong, very interesting too with a strong reliance on onazi. he’s kinda presented as a hero of some sort.. or their impenetrable beacon of strength. oh how i would hate for a certain wild & crazy rin to come along and destroy everything haha!

this manwha was not really up to par with my usual tastes. entertaining to say the least but i could feel a lot of emptiness while reading this. i wasn’t too engaged with the story and i personally found it quite odd how quickly kalian was able to soften up to edith despite nothing really happening to cause him to. also, the achievements of the conditions that the og author put into place reaaaaallly ticked me off. in my opinion it felt unnatural the way edith acted in order to satisfy them, for example sneaking into kalian’s room to kiss him on the forehead in hopes of him thinking that she’s an absolute freak.
the way she felt so hopeless that she couldn’t escape the storyline and then decided to just give up in such a way felt a little weird to me. ESPECIALLY THE FACT KALIAN JUST RANDOMLY GAVE UP HIS VIRGINITY HE’D BEEN SAVING AND HIS FIRST KISS.. for someone he was only close to on paper but who am i but a humble reader. a lot more things def pissed me off but i slept halfway through reading this. ah, and the sheer amount of miscommunications and misunderstanding truly triggered me to my core lol.
the only thing that truly interested me was cliff. his characterisation even after being relinquished of the confinements from the og story was very interesting. his overall desire for the twisted version of rhyse was something i didn’t expect. the fact that he constantly helped her knowing that she was not the innocent and naive girl she wanted to be portrayed as just because that was the only time she truly focused on him and needed him.. OOOOUU THAT WAS TEAAAA. such an intriguing thought process, i just can’t stop myself from liking him. the fact that an original character can have such unique thoughts makes me wonder if he was ever truly confined by the storyline in the first place. if he wasn’t such a freak i’d love him sooo bad.
however that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven for being nothing but an absolute tool the entire story.

hmmm. hmmmmmm.
nagi. nagi. nagi. NAGIIIIIIII.
i love it. he found his ego. the thrill of being at the centre of the world. i love that his ego doesn’t revolve around any other characters like isagi and that bum reo. but becoming that stupid old man’s little dog…………. AAAAUUUUUGGHHHHHHHHH.
i’m guessing the author is planning to put the two main characters against eachother. very interesting. i find nagi a looott more exciting than isagi in terms of his playstyle and i also think that he’s physically more skilled since he’s so talented. SO IM WORRIED FOR ML ISAGII. he’s so confident rn. absolutely nothing wrong with that.. but in manga terms he may just get crazy humbledd
SSSSIIIGHHHH. also hiori is broo.
i love him. he did nothing but i love him.

nah i’m actually so pissed. heith. HEIIIIITHHHHH OH MY LORRRD HE WAS FINE SHYTTT WOW. FACE CARD WAS PRETTIER THAN A MOFO BRUH AND ALL FOR WHAT. what a waste of such lovely character design
HE DID NOOOTT HAVE TO DIE. HE RLY DIDNTTTT. can we revamp the script pls. i deadass clutched my pillow covers when i saw his head fly off. had to take a break i was so emotionally invested LOLLL. ofc they had to 3v1 him cause he’s js that guy . BUT BROOO NOW THEY WONT EVEN LET MY CUTIE REST IN PEACE??? THIS BUMAHHH KING BRUH WTH. i want him back so bad,, those flashbacks ellen has r the only things i have left of ml.
nah but on a fr note, idk how i got attached to him so fast he was literally introduced first chapter and died on the same chapter. ☠☠
ALSO ELLEN IS ACTUALLY THE CUTEST THING EVERRRR. I LOVE HIM SM AND I WISH HIM NOTHING BUT THE BEST. he’s so stupidly smart i actually can’t, lowk reminds me of luffy.
if the mc was like anyone but ellen trust me i would’ve stopped reading after the loss of ml heith. it’s that deep bro. i loved his contrast with ellen sm and i was totally expecting him to js take ellen on the journey with him. that would’ve been fireee ughh.
found another mc to slip into my adoption folders.

igaguri.
he’s cooking ibr with you. but nagi pls i beg do NOTTTTTT become that man’s slave oh my golly gosh.
how people like isagi perceive nagi is not worth losing ur individual autonomy bro i cannot stress that enoughhh. cannot wait to see what decision he ends up making but if he ends up becoming some lap dog imma be sooo pissed.
next stop: isagi goal in the 89th minute!! hip hip hurrah!!
i forgot how much i enjoy seeing a chill rin. like he’s rly js a calm little cutie unfortunately given the personality traits of being an obsessive younger brother & part-time stuck up asshole
also if ego ever put out a document or paper simply explaining his ideology & perspective of how football should be played i would read that wholeeee thing straight away, no breaks & i don’t even like football that much. i love him & i think personally his cognitive processes r rly intriguing.
