Such a great start. Usually good literature start very slowly, amidst the slow pace you realise the potential. And I see it. It’s unfathomable that people are dropping it because it is “boring” (5 chapters in that too) for such a great pace with the right balance, it indulges into sports in the beginning hinting the future prospects on how the story might unfold.
This might be a very very good read.

The last part, did that uncle actually kill the parents and his own son on purpose to recreate the scene in his book or was it an accident and coincidently matched w the author?? Also if he wanted to “hide” from him why did he literally adopt him? Say it was guilt, but if he actually did it then why is he so traumatised? It must’ve been an accident. Actually I don’t get the end of the chapter 3 all too well.
It was an accident, he just adopted him because he don't have anyone beside him anymore as the Top also looked like he has nowhere to go so he took him in, hence the Top is the one who's traumatising him with his parents on purpose
