Nooo you’re supposed to make him beg for you!! Also I’m iffy about how the Prince is gay but somehow he suddenly develops a soft spot for a woman. It IS his second marriage so yes I do get it that he MIGHT BE BISEXUAL or MIGHT BE BETTER TO HIS WIFE but he was SO heartless with the first that it did feel iffy. Unless, the first murder of the wife isn’t what we think it is, but he still was an asshole to that cousin guard. God he’s a weirdly complex character. This plot is so great but it feels iffy too I don’t know how I should feel about this exactly.
