Lol I thought it was pretty obvious. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the characters' beliefs. Jinjoo who is a devout believer and Doyeon who is an atheist/agnostic orphan from the church. The religious subplot is not that prevalent in my opinion (except for the church moments), but they add depth to both the characters' personalities and perspectives
