I think that the protagonist lives a hectic life, always fulfilling everyone's requests and she gets burnt out. One day, she witnesses a train accident of an old man and all her stress, anxiety and trauma wraps her up in a shell. Jian or wtv was the name of the guy, is simply the personification of all the despair she has in her heart. She cannot let go of the building despair untill the accident. She decided to leave her past despairs because she realises that no one knows how long they have to live.
