I never understood drawing the rape scenes out, or putting all the nasty things they said to him either. You can use rape as the plot device but how could you possibly want to draw that, or us see it?

While i liked their chemistry and do enjoy short stories so i don’t mind only 25 chapters (22-25 seemed to be fluff chapters based on the raws) i feel like this trope does not fit a short story… we need closure on both jayden’s ptsd and just more relationship to show how he gets over matthew and falls in love with diego. And like everyone else said, the rape scene was completely unnecessary if the author is just going to brush it off, though plot-wise i think jayden just didn’t realize what happened either time, and thus there wasn’t really a place to bring it back up. Luckily since the story ended we won’t have to experience anything worse.
