I have same sentiment as you but it's better to not think about it. When I try to think about it in a realistic way everything falls apart and it doesn't make sense. So, it's better to not focus on the real stuff lol I mean, they go to roofs so often. And has phones. Both of which aren't okay in irl schools for asian countries.
Don't pin me on it, but i believe in japan it ist possible to graduate only with atendence, regardless of academic achievements. And as it was said in the beginning the school was way worse so maybe the teachers stopped coming because the students will graduate either way. ╮(￣▽￣)╭

But also I def believe this is a wake up call for his lack of conviction for what he believes in. When she reveals she doesn’t want to be an artist professionally he makes fun of his own goals and calls them lame and when she says “oh but that’s still something to be proud of” he’s visibly angry but doesn’t express it cuz she basically insulted him. Also way the teacher looked at him when he said “that’s just an excuse” like boy you’re insane. Excited to see where this goes. Considering I’m somewhat in the same predicament as him(painting major at a big school not sure what to do professionally).
I’m an art student and what she said was absolutely valid. Just cuz you’re skilled doesn’t mean someone is gonna buy your work and there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to pay your bills a tangible plan never hurts. And he needed that wake up call of her being a “human”. Because it was just straight up uncomfortable watching him be smitten for her until she tells him and not “seeing” her if that makes sense. I’m excited to see where this goes because what do you do when your core reason for starting goes “poof” will he find solace in himself? I honestly thought she was gonna tell him he’s outright better than her. That could’ve done some damage.

Yeah I just binged this ENTIRE thing. I never read it before today and I just don't see realistically how they end up together. The entire relationship was toxic asf. I think we'll see Yatora and Mori have a "real" conversation soon because in my opinion putting her on a pedestal like that is not only insane but also unfair to her. It's fine to idolize someone or their work but to such a drastic extent? If she ever came to him with a question or problem in a moment of vulnerability and he responded as if she was a 'god' and not a person I could see her getting enraged or upset. And we may explore that route as Yuka goes "I see..." with a darkened expression. But that's just me. I was taken aback when he looked so enraged for someone even suggesting romance is how he feels about her, even though it's not completely illogical considering how smitten he acts at even mentioning her name let alone when in her presence.
True, I can understand like idolizing someone cause of their work and such but like treating them as a god can go uhhh bad, like what if she decides not to do art anymore? I KNOW i was RIGHT ON THE MONEY! I was honestly uncomfortable this whole chap until that point because he ignored her humanity until she was like "yeah im getting a job" which is crazy. But better late than never.
The ability to rebel against ur folks is an important skill to learn and easier said than done. And I understand why that kid made a scene in the hallway. Yeorum seems "care free and bold" but at the expense of another and the pleasure of being a bystander. I would've reacted the same way as the kid who made a scene in the hallway he was only standing up for himself.
