"It's classic revenge story from transmigration into villainess's body. Cha Min-Joo is bullied by Lee Su-Yeon in past life. Lee Su-Yeon steals her BF, her friends, and isolates her in the classroom making it look like Cha Min-Joo was the one who did it to Lee Su-Yeon. Eventually Cha Min-Joo goes up to the roof to commit suicide and Lee Su-Yeon tries to stop her saying she didn't realize she would take it that badly (like seriously?) Both of them fall off and die.

Cha Min-Joo becomes Dahlia and read the story in her past life so she knows that her illegitimate half sister Florre will show up later, take her place as the emperor's fiance and she (Dahlia) will die after trying to attack Florre. Florre shows up in the story a lot earlier and Dahlia realizes Cha Min-Joo transmigrated too because of the scar on her arm. Cha Min-Joo btw has never read the story and only knows she's reincarnated and has bad eye sight. Knowing this Dahlia realizes it's the perfect chance to get revenge and tells the maids to burn Florre's clothing and shoves Florre in the back a lot.

Later Florre's maid Bibi tries to trick Anne, Dahlia's maid by having thugs attack her. Dahlia finds out and goes to rescue Anne, and meets Johan (ML) for the first time. Johan takes care of the thugs and then disappears before they can find out more.

The count is a supporter of the emperor (Noel) and helped him get the position. He wants to make Dahlia empress to boost his own power, but Dahlia has no interest in following that storyline. At the debutante ball, Dahlia and Florre are introduced to the emperor and knowing that Dahlia was supposed to be obsessed with him, he tries to embarrass her. Says oh who should I dance with first? expecting Dahlia to be like "ME ME!" and then he would instead pick Florre. Dahlia knowing this, offers to have Noel escort Florre and claims she's not feeling well.

She rushes over to a balcony and cries while thinking about her past life and her potential crappy future ending. Johan (grand duke, half brother to Noel) finds her and offers her a handkerchief, thinking she's crying over the emperor. Dahlia tells him she has a magic power and offers to marry him for revenge. Johan's obviously weirded out but Dahlia tells him that she knows the empress (Johan's mother) is trapped in the palace due to the emperor (I think it was Noel, but could've been his dad) while Johan was forced to rule the cold desolate north and protect the borders from monsters. Johan says he'll think about it cuz he's heard the rumors about her and doesn't trust her.

Few days later, Dahlia goes out to Johan's private residence and arrives in middle of the night asking for an answer again. Johan flatly rejects her and she asks to stay the night since she lives far away. Based on the story she knows Johan will be staying up and she purposely intervenes in an assassination attempt (which ironically turns out to be sent by her father) to get sympathy points. She gets hurt and Johan nurses her through the night after the assassins retreats once they realized who she was. The talk about marriage details and she says she wants revenge on Florre. Johan tells her he will never help her no matter what happens to her family and she nods, knowing that her father was the one who helped Noel become emperor and made his life hell. Dahlia tells him to never lie to her, never betray her, and never sympathize with Florre. Johan agrees but says he still needs to think about the marriage some more."

"I think Johan (don't remember) wrote to the emperor to request a marriage between Dahlia and himself, but emperor rejects it saying empire wasn't stable and he still needed Johan to protect the borders. Instead emperor said they could get engaged and Dahlia agreed to it. Her father still wants to push her to marry the emperor but settles for having Florre since she'd be easier to control.

At some point the 3 of them, count, Dahlia and Florre go to the palace. Dahlia asks Florre about her feelings for Noel and tries to push the idea of them as a couple (as part of her revenge plan). They bump into Johan and he asks to speak to her alone. Dahlia explains she came to the palace today to meet the saint (Helen Charlotte) who was head of the temple and was spokesperson for the goddess. She asks Johan for help to meet her, since women weren't allowed to meet her and go into the chapel or something. Johan says he'll help if she agrees to go to a salon in a few days hosted by Viscount Albert Percival (loyal to Johan) and keeps a woman away from him.

Dahlia agrees and Johan makes an excuse saying he had to give something to the saint but didn't have time and gives her a box. Dahlia heads over to meet the saint with the excuse of doing Johan's business. Helen has divine power and ability of foresight so she's able to see that Dahlia isn't in her original body. In the past she gave a prediction that Noel would usurp the throne (away from Johan) and she'd felt sorry towards Johan. Her brother (they appeared close weren't really) was Noel's right hand man as head of the knights. Noel's box had an engagement ring intended to be blessed by the saint. Saint explains that the topaz ring passed down was representative of the sun and how it was once a ring for someone supposed to be the new sun of the empire (johan > emperor) but now he's more like the moon. Dahlia tells the saint she wants to be married now (not engaged) to Johan and the saint looks into the future but doesn't see anything. Saint talks about paying tribute once Dahlia hears the oracle and then Helen is possessed by the saint and tells Dahlia to wait 10 days for an answer.

At home Dahlia and Florre both get teachers so they learn more about imperial culture. Dahlia's teacher was sent by Johan, and the guy is strict whereas Florre's teachers go easy on her and praise her non-stop. Later Dahlia dresses up for the salon with Florre and everyone stares at Dahlia's beauty. Johan tensed up when he saw her lol and as they walk into the room they get even more stares which makes Dahlia freeze up. As people around them badmouth her, she gets flashbacks to her old life when she was accused of stealing bf.

They go up to balcony and Johan points out Johanna Hubert (his stalker) who happens to be chatting with Florre. Johanna is engaged to Viscount Albert (Johan's follower and party host) by emperor's order but she hasn't given up on Johan. Dahlia goes off to where they are and scare off Johanna, but only finds Florre once she gets there. Florre (that white lotus) tries to garner sympathy from bystanders saying sorry for being late and clings to Dahlia while Dahlia tries to tell her off and leave."

Dahlia realizes Florre might've made a deal with Johanna to keep her rooted there while Johanna went up to the balcony to find Johan. She pushes Florre off her and sees Johan coming down the stairs towards them with a stiff face. She then realizes Johan saw her pushing Florre into a pillar and starts trying to explain, but Johan just passes her and helps Florre up. Dahlia sees Florre (that white lotus) smiling in the background while pretending to be weak and purposes holds onto Johan's arm. Dahlia recognizes it's a standard Cha Min-Joo move and bites her lips so much that it's bleeding. A servant comes over and offers Dahlia a drink and Florre leans into the servant with her shoulder. Dahlia expecting this, doesn't avoid it and is hoping to humiliate Florre but Johan pulls her back in time before the wine spills on her.

Dahlia then yells at Florre and slaps her hand away, while Florre starts shedding tears. Johan tries to intervene and takes Dahlia away to the greenhouse. Dahlia realizes how many people were looking at the scene after they leave and then confronts Johan for breaking their deal about sympathizing with Florre. Johan explains that to onlookers, her younger sister is involved with the emperor and it looked like Dahlia was the one who caused the wine to be spilled. He always says that he was sympathizing with her not Florre.

Dahlia asks about Johanna and Johan tells her he was able to get away. Dahlia a comment about how the emperor asked Johan to escort Johanna and she must've been beautiful but Johan replies "not as much as you Dahlia." The go over to the ballroom and start dancing and to make Johanna even more jelly they get super close to each other while dancing and smiling at each other. Dahlia thinks about how handsome he is and Johan compliments her eyes. Johan talks about how Lyntton Brooks (spelling may be diff, but he's her teacher who Johan sent her) praised her studies and then he has a dark look, asking her Brooks was this up and close while teaching her to dance... (now he jelly lol). Dahlia says no, and Johan looks happy and satisfied again.

The dance ends and they go off to the side where Florre is standing. Florre blushes while Johan apologizes for making her wait and she tells them a servant brought her 3 drinks and then left. She tells Dahlia to drink, acting like a good sister but Dahlia rejects it. Johan says he's thirsty and just before he drinks, Dahlia takes it away saying she's thirsty after noticing a servant acting weird. She takes a sip and starts coughing up blood and Johan freaks out. Florre is in shock and it's clear she wasn't the one who poisoned Dahlia and Daliah blacks out.

Johan takes Dahlia to his place and nurses her while she has a fever and goes in and out of consciousness for 3 days. She wakes up to him asleep on her bed and holding her hand. She get embarrassed and tells him to let go but he doesn't. He then spoon feeds her soup (even tho she said she could do it herself) and says an oracle came for her. He tells her that they told everyone it was a disease that she had (not poisoning) and he'll explain about the culprit later. He feels guilty that she got poisoned and said it would've been better if he drank it since he's been poisoned before and has some immunity. She tells him not to worry and he says call me "Johan" (She's been calling him "Your highness" or "grand duke" the whole time) and that he's ready to accept her proposal.

She spends a couple more days at Johan's place recovering (he told her family that it would be better for her not to be moved and it's safer at his place). Once she's well enough she reads the oracle which says something like "The moon will not be able to rise until the sun goes down" which she doesn't understand (but it's pretty obvious that Johan can't become emperor until Noel gets dragged down). Aaron Charlotte (commander of the knights, Helen's brother) visits her and asks for her tribute on behalf of Helen's oracle. Asks her does she know who poisoned her and she says no, and he says that's enough.

After fully recovering, Dahlia thought she would've gone home, but Johan keeps insisting that she should stay and this was safest place. Noel tells her that the emperor agreed to let them marry because her family is rich and would be able to provide funds for the army to protect the north (since the emperor wouldn't or couldn't give them the funds).

The poisoner turned out to be Albert who intended to poison Florre to help Johan. He had no intention of hurting Dahlia, but his plan went awry possibly because Johanna got involved and poisoned all 3 glasses. Dahlia forgives him and he swears to do everything he can for her.

Dahlia continues to have lessons with Brooks and he explains the wedding ceremony to her, saying they have to seal it with a kiss in front of the emperor. Dahlia of course is like wut and wonders if Johan knows about this. Later on she's doing a wedding dress fitting and Johan arrives so the seamstress (who likes to play matchmaker) opens the door saying it would be great for him to see her in the dress."

"Johan looks in shocked and seamstress asks for his opinion saying if there's anything missing she can fix it. He responds "it's beautiful without any flaws" and Dahlia calms herself down saying he's just talking about the dress. Both of them are blushing at this point and seamstress asks Noel to put a necklace on her. He was surprised and Dahlia tries to shrug it off saying she could do it herself, but Noel insists and takes the necklace. Seamstress is grinning at them and then rushes out with her team saying she left an accessory in the carriage.

The two of them are now alone and both embarrassed. Dahlia asks Johan about the kiss in the ceremony and Johan offers to practice if she's feeling nervous. Johan pushes his thumb against her lips and tells her to kiss his fingers (seriously dude...) and as she closes her eyes he's wondering what it would feel like to kiss her on the lips. She slowly opens her eyes and notices how close his face is and they both take a breath and are about to go for it when.... Seamstress comes bursting back in saying took her a while to find stuff and they awkwardly separate from each other.

Cut to Florre's perspective
She heads out at night to meet Johanna and Johanna doesn't even bother to meet her in person, just sends a maid to deliver her message. Florre knows Johanna's just using her and thinks she's disposable after she received 3 poisoned glasses at the party then tells the maid to go get Johanna. She thinks about Dahlia getting in the way and how her wedding is 2 days away. Also thinks back to this letter she found in desk, detailing the storyline, how the person know she's from another world and how she was supposed to be the main character.

Back to Dahlia
The day before the wedding Dahlia heads back to her parents' place against Johan's concerns. Her carriage is stopped by Noel's men on the way and she's told he wants to talk to her. He just happened to be hunting in the area and brings her deep into the woods to drink tea while he polishes his gun (not creepy at all...). He then asks about how she went from being obsessed with him to now marrying Johan and if she loves Johan. She responds of course and tries to leave but he grabs her arm and pushes her against a tree.

Noel asks her why she changed her mind and she gives the oracle as an excuse, saying that the goddess told her if she fell in love with the emperor, her life would be at stake. He believes her thinking about how there are strange oracles all the time and how he could just snap her neck right there before letting her go. Noel calls out Aaron and they talk about how there's more beasts showing up and they're still waiting for Timothy the wizard to show up (new character). Also orders Aaron to keep an eye on Dahlia.

Finally wedding day arrives and proceeds without any hitches. They have a quick light and sweet kiss at the ceremony before socializing with everyone there. Eventually the couple is able to leave and Dahlia falls asleep in the carriage. While at the wedding Florre meets a man who says he supports her and is against the goddess. Also tells her she should try to get the empress's position and her eyesight will come back so in the meantime try to seduce the emperor. She asks that he has proof he can see the future and he tells her at the future hunting contest, someone will try to kill the emperor and she has to be the one to take an arrow for him if he's to live.

Johan and Dahlia arrive at his old house (where he lived with his mother). Johan looks around with nostalgia while Dahlia goes to meet the staff (Lytton Brooks now acts as butler and introduces 2 sister maids). Dahlia goes back out to look for Johan and sees him staring at an empty garden plot where there used to be flowers. Johan says that her father plucked all the flowers out and there's a flashback to when his mother fell down after learning the previous emperor had just died and Noel usurped the throne. Soldiers from Count Videl (Dahlia's father) and Count Hubert (Johanna's father) arrived just after Johan came to comfort his mother. They were then eternally separated (doesn't go into detail but I would assume they probably took her hostage and he had to agree to go north for her safety and give up the throne).

Dahlia says it's not something she should be held responsible for so she won't apologize and instead they should plant new flowers. He asks which ones and she says red dahlias and Johan says it's good idea since everyone who visits will think about her beauty when they see the garden.

They then go inside and Dahlia pushes a contract him saying it's for divorce later on. Johan is shook and Dahlia explains they just need to accomplish their goals for Johan to regain the throne and Dahlia to get revenge on Florre. Johan adds a condition that they shouldn't go overboard in their revenge (this is on top of the 3 conditions Dahlia made him promise earlier), intent on preventing her from sacrificing her life for this revenge. He also adds another condition that they should be faithful during the marriage period and Dahlia just thinks it's to make sure their acting is smooth and no one suspects.

Dahlia takes over the mansion as duchess and the servants all love her. Saintess Helen comes to visit and Dahlia tells her that she intends to build a temple in the north to the goddess. Helen gives Dahlia a necklace and tells her to wear it on the day of the hunting competition (it's implied it was the goddess saying that), wishing her luck before disappearing.

Meanwhile Johan digs in the library for an antidote to Dahlia's poison (she's mostly recovered but not entirely). His assistant appears in the library after having searched by a cure to his curse but wasn't able to find anything and basically offers up his retirement. Johan then thinks to promote Albert to replace him and asks for recommendations for escorts for Dahlia. Guys offers up 2 ppl, one male one female named Daisy Raven. Johan doesn't like the idea of another guy near Dahlia and picks Raven lol.

Albert arrives and is appointed Johan's new assistant. Sir Daisy Raven is introduced and she's impressed by Dahlia's friendliness and beauty. There's a thunderstorm at night and Dahlia goes out to get water but runs into Daisy who's squatting in the hallway. Dahlia remembers Daisy's tragic story where all 3 of her siblings died, and thinks on nights like this she probably would've been together with them. Daisy is afraid to say she's scared of thunder and is surprised when Dahlia doesn't laugh or scold her. She's even more surprised when Dahlia tells her to come to her room and watch over her while she falls asleep (couldn't exactly invite her to share the single bed).

Dahlia asks Raven to teach her magic and Raven does a demonstration using her water magic. She tells Dahlia it's unlikely she would be able to use magic since she's under the protection of the goddess who has divine power (since she was supposed to be baptized after the wedding but never was). Dahlia tries to mimic what Daisy did and feels something but didn't see anything come up in her hand. Later the servants are in the garden and notice there's a part of the fence that's burnt where they were sitting earlier and are confused.

Johan comes back after a few days (think he was off fighting monsters or something) and Dahlia and the servants greet him. Dahlia acts like a faithful wife and Johan smiles at her while the maids look on all excited. Once they're alone, Johan tells her that the emperor accepted the count's proposal to be engaged to Florre, and the 4? of them would be riding together to the hunting contest. Johan also asks if she's read all the books in his library and she shrugs and says yes. He then said they should go together tomorrow and she agrees. As he looks at her, his emotions surge and he thinks about loving his wife but how they were only bound by contract. He then rushes out of the room, before he does anything else, thinking about Dahlia's scent.

Cutover to a conversation between Aaron and Noel.
There's a flashback to how he was the first one to notice that Aaron was jealous of Helen's power and authority. Back in the present they discuss how Helen's movements are suspicious and it's likely the temple is also looking for Timothy the wizard. They're curious about which side Timothy will choose and then there's more references to how no one knows how old he is and Noel's birthplace."

Don't worry Ill will have fun to, by seeing them burn will be enough, plus burning them will be so much fun ,after that I can clean the floors and the place where we torture them so that their will be no more evidence, then I will create a false evidence stating that the monsters eat them alive with the help blood from their blood that I took when cleaning and draining from their body so people wont be suspicious about their death.
