Oh do elaborate wdym racism? I don't see anyone of a different race here o.o

There was a chapter in the novel where Jun (the MC) eats at the house of Yohan (the male lead with a pale skin); when jun felt awkward and had lots of chaotic thoughts, Yohan laughed at him by telling him "are you going to eat with your fucking hands. I didn't know that our Jun was Indian".
This seems harmless, but Korea is quite anti Indians (and anti black people too and overally look down on dark skinned people, even the light brown ones), so the author thinks that Indians are uncivilized and dirty for eating with their hands.
And the subtle colorism is towards Junwoo (the asshole who was the first crush of the MC) and Minho (an annoying character always leeching off Yohan because of his alpha attitude. Plus he bullies Taesan, the kind new student that Junwoo is obsessed with).

. Korea is so racist and korean author's have biases too, i doubt that Yohan said it with harmless intentions when the author writes "mocking Jun: i didn't know our jun was indian"; and the colorism is subtle

Literally wasnot expecting specifically from YOHAN MY BOII. They said he was unpredictable and nonconformist. So I wanted to see the world the way he did guess on colorism and racism he aint no different. Though not indian but I am from its neighboring country

I am not surprised because the racial baises of characters come from their creators who are a product of their environment

I don't know if it is a mistranslation when they called Junwoo and Minho dark skinned because they are not. Just a very light brown that whites have too, but the obsession over pale and fair skin on this webtoon and the insult towards brown skin is such a turn off.
Istg! They act as if indians don't wash their hands and they obviously eat food that can be picked by hands, plus it is proven it's healthy to eat with your hands
