If my sibling who I love dearly was made to go to a country we have contentious relations with and they somehow became an entirely different person while they were there, I would be heartbroken. Just yesterday I was consumed by self-loathing at being a woman (I'm cis, I just dislike it) and now I get to read this wonderful story that focuses (primarily) on the pain of someone who wants to be a woman. (Because like. It is pretty clear that Aoi is a woman, right? The last bit of "neither a man nor a woman" seems like another bit of internalised something-something for her to work through.)
Really good story.
I hope MC gets to go home. I love the triad that's forming (even moreso because there is nothing explicitly romantic between them) but it feels cruel for him to never see his family again.
Also MC is so refreshing!! He recognises the ML's warning!!!!!
Marquess Duhem is iconic as all hell and pigtails FL is soooo cute!!!!! I love the bond between her and MC. I really love this story so much. Very entertaining.

Her doing it to someone who isn't into it (who doesn't even seem okay with it) is not good, but then again she isn't exactly a good person.
I really did love this story (and the artstyle. The main couple reminds me of Jotaro/Jonathan and Dio in design) but the stress and drama of the current events is killing me. Had to skip a couple of scenes.
I think I'll come back to it once it's complete.
